Sometimes the Cookies ‘n cream filling melds so well with the dough that the cream actually gets absorbed in the cooking process. My mom thought I was baking rock-themed bread but this is actually my “Cookie monster Pan de Sal.”

I was honestly aiming for a Sesame street cookie monster shade of Blue 💙 for this Blue Velvet Pan de Sal with Oreo Cookies ‘n cream center but ended up with a murky Bluish-green almost black bread rolls.

Sometimes, your friendly neighborhood baker na taga-San Roque 👩🏻‍🍳 do end up with a more quirky 🤡 or weird 👽 but nonetheless yummy Pan de Sal creation.

We’ve received countless inquiries if we make plain Pan de Sal. Yes, we do‼️ It’s a healthier version made with wholemeal flour. It’s still fluffy, flavorful and goes well with your favorite palaman.😁

Made another batch again...👩🏻‍🍳

Sapin-sapin is one of my all time favorite Filipino desserts along with Biko and Leche Flan.

I made one with just Langka and Ube layers and another with a Macapuno- Pandan top layer. And yeah, I added heaps of toasted coconut bits and latik for good measure.

Also, I used (real😁) Ube halaya, candied Langka and Macapuno strings for an honest to goodness taste of Ube and Langka that none of those essences can pull off.

So affordable at just P15.00 each. Just ring the bell if you need desserts. These are available for pick up. No delivery services today as our people are enjoying the holidays too! 😊

Maayong buntag mga friends! 🤗 Pinoy hits usa ta karon kay unsaon man, lami man jud ang Pinoy food. 🇵🇭

As you bite in to each layer, you will taste real Ube, Langka and Macapuno... Sounds good right? Yep, and it definitely tastes even better!

Dearest Kambal (my taste testers upstairs),

You squealed with happiness each time I brought these for you. I, too, couldn’t hide my delight in watching you gobble these in a flash.

Though I was just practice baking during the lockdown with my meager resources, I did my best to make these perfectly imperfect crispy doughnuts topped with a variety of glazes and sprinkles with your eager smiles in mind.

Whatever makes you happy, kambal as long as kaya sa powers. God willing, I’ll bake these for you soon.

For now, I’ll bake these for my neighbors and friends; and to whoever ventures to this part of San Roque, Iligan as willing taste testers just like you.

Buchi was one of my dad’s favorite desserts. When we used to eat at a local fast food joint, he always ordered the lauriat that included a Buchi for dessert.

I learned to make Buchi balls during the lockdown and was quite nostalgic thinking about my dad while running the glutinous rice balls on fragrant, toasted Sesame seeds. I also learned that just like the classic Pan de Sal, I could make these extra special too!

We’ll post whenever these are available for pre-orders or pick-up. Life is short, eat your Buchi with red bean or ube filling.😋

Come closer and look at that Bukayo filling. We promise you, these Buko Pandan Pan de Sal rolls are totally worth it!

Bukayo is an old favorite childhood snack of mine. I asked my mom to make some so I could use them as filling. I love my mom and I love that she doesn’t make the Bukayo too sweet.
