Pride is more than a celebration, it is a continuing struggle for dignity, equality, and the freedom to live.

This Pride Month, join us for “Agi-anay: Reclaiming Pride, Rights, and Resistance” a community dialogue and interactive art installation that explores the realities, challenges, and victories of the LGBTQIA+ community.

Through conversation, reflection, and creative expression, we invite everyone to learn about the importance of LGBTQIA+ rights, understand the ongoing fight for equality, and discover how solidarity can create meaningful change.

🎤 Featuring:
• Ferdie Madulid, President, Dakila Iloilo
• Ian Marvin Hubag, Communications Director, Hayag

Whether you’re part of the LGBTQIA+ community, an ally, or simply curious to learn more, your presence matters. Together, we reclaim pride, not only as a celebration of identity, but as a commitment to justice, inclusion, and collective resistance.

This event is organized by Buhat Projects in collaboration with Dakila Iloilo and The Homegrowns.

🏳️‍🌈 Come as you are. Listen, learn, create, and stand in solidarity.

🌈 FLOW STATE 🌈
A Pride Month workshop series by q***r artists.

Organized by Buhat Projects and happening at The Homegrowns. We celebrate Pride Month through creativity, conversation, and care. ✨

Join us for an intimate and beginner-friendly workshops led by local q***r artists exploring watercolor, cyanotype, and live sketching. Each carrying their own unique practices, perspectives, and stories, at The Homegrowns 🏡

🎨 Watercolor Workshop with Yanni Ysabel
📅 June 7 • 3PM

🖼️ Cyanotype Workshop with Carl Parohinog
📅 June 13 • 3PM

✏️ Sketching Session with Kinno Florentino
📅 June 20 • 3PM

Supporting q***r art means supporting spaces where people can freely express themselves, tell their stories, and imagine new ways of creating and belonging. In a time where q***r voices are still challenged and overlooked, community-led art spaces become places of visibility, care, resistance, and celebration.

All artworks created by participants during the workshops will also be exhibited throughout June until July 11 as part of the continuing celebration and sharing of q***r creativity within the community.

All proceeds and donations will also help support our artists and ongoing community garden project. 🌱

Hello, mga malupet na aports.

We received a lot of positive feedback during our doodle thursdaze sessions last month. We’re happy to see people scribbling even when it’s not thursday, and we have decided why not extend it this month???

We’re still working on the zine, and we might drop it 3rd week of May. Be in the loop! 👀

To make a lil bit different, we’re handing blank sticker papers this time. Y’all can still scribble, draw, or write something — but this time, it’ll be in the form of a sticker. Y’all can leave it or trade it around 🤝

Do bring your friends and your drawing materials. Scissors might also help. If y’all want to donate materials, you’re very much welcome to do so.

*4 PM onwards. Cya tomorrow — or later 🙂
