A few shots from my visit to Unlisted Burger in Mactan 🍔

What started as a home-based burger business by Jhon Pescador while he was studying online has grown a lot from those early days, when his small kitchen could only handle two burgers at a time.

I stopped by the Mactan branch to see what Unlisted Burger is all about and, of course, to try the burgers for myself.

I recently stopped by Unlisted Burger in Lapu-Lapu for an unannounced visit to see how the experience was as a regular customer.

I went for the Triple Patty Cheeseburger. One thing that stood out was the size of the patties. They seemed quite small, and personally, I think I would've been disappointed ordering a single patty.

There were some positives. The fresh lettuce and other ingredients stood out, and the beef patty itself wasn't bad. Overall, I thought it was a decent burger.

One thing I did find difficult during my visit was the music. We were the only customers there, and I actually chose to sit outside so I wouldn't disturb the outlet while filming. Despite that, the music became extremely loud, to the point where I could barely hear my wife sitting across from me.

I was filming at the time, so I did wonder whether the volume was connected to that, although I obviously can't say for certain whether it would've been the same if I wasn't filming.

That's separate from my burger rating, though. I rate the food on the food, and for me the Triple Patty Cheeseburger came in at 7.4/10.

I always prefer to visit places unannounced because I want to experience them as a normal customer would, then share the good and the not-so-good honestly.

I recently discovered Flavour Coffee Station in Mahayahay, Bankal, and this little café is exactly the kind of place I enjoy finding.

Tucked away in a quieter part of Bankal, it's a small, cosy space with a relaxed atmosphere and friendly baristas. Nothing overly fancy, just a comfortable little coffee spot where the focus is clearly on good coffee.

One of the things I particularly enjoyed was making my own V60 pour-over. I was given the coffee and the setup, and got to brew it myself.

For someone who enjoys experimenting with pour-over at home, that's always going to get my attention.

It's a genuine little neighbourhood café, with a welcoming atmosphere and coffee that's clearly taken seriously.

I've been exploring quite a few cafés around Mactan recently, and this is definitely one I'd be happy to return to.

Sometimes the smaller, tucked-away places are the ones worth knowing about.

So if you're around Bankal and fancy getting away from the usual coffee chains, Flavour Coffee Station is worth checking out.

🍗 Bacolod Chicken Inasal Paa at Kumedor Filipino Restaurant

This was packed full of flavour, with a delicious tangy marinade that really came through.

The chicken was well cooked, moist and practically fell off the bone. Definitely one I’d recommend ordering if you’re visiting Kumedor.

📍 Hidden Coffee Spot in Bankal, Lapu-Lapu

If you're tired of crowded coffee chains, this little café is worth adding to your list.

Flavour Coffee Station is tucked away in Mahayahay, Bankal, and it's the definition of a cosy nook.

Small space, relaxed atmosphere, friendly baristas, and coffee that's clearly made with care.

It has built a great reputation with locals for its welcoming vibe and quality drinks.

I stopped by to try some of their coffee... and somehow got talked into making my own V60 pour over recipe. 😜
