Nourishing Young Minds, Building Healthy Habits!
In celebration of National Nutrition Month, Laguna Aquatech and Manila Water Foundation (MWF) joined hands to bring the WASH Paaralan Program to our young learners—promoting the importance of both proper nutrition and good hygiene in keeping children healthy and ready to learn.
Held on July 30, the activity combined nutrition education, hygiene awareness, and community support. Students participated in engaging demonstrations led by the Manila Water Foundation team on proper handwashing, correct toothbrushing, and basic sanitation practices.
To complement the day's activities, the students were also provided with free nutritious meals, reinforcing the message that healthy bodies begin with both proper nourishment and proper hygiene.
As part of the WASH Paaralan initiative, Laguna Aquatech and Manila Water Foundation also turned over soap and portable handwashing stations to our partner schools:
Paciano Rizal Elementary School – Tuntungin-Putho, Los Baños
Sto. Tomas Elementary School – Calauan
Engr. Ariane Patricio, General Manager of Laguna Aquatech, shared her hope that the activity and WASH donations would encourage students to practice proper hygiene and sanitation every day, helping prevent illness and creating a healthier school environment. She also encouraged the learners to share what they learned with their classmates, friends, and families.
More than a one-day activity, this initiative reflects the shared commitment of Laguna Aquatech and Manila Water Foundation to empower communities and invest in the health and well-being of Filipino children.
