Elisha’s packed lunches from Monday to Friday. 💕

This week reminded me that motherhood is often found in the smallest routines.

Every morning, I found myself back in the kitchen, rolling sushi so Elisha would happily eat her rice and vegetables, slicing tamagoyaki that somehow brings me a little peace, and packing her favorite little treats into each lunchbox.

None of these meals were perfect, but every one of them was made with the same quiet hope that when she opened her lunch at school, she’d feel a little piece of home.

Maybe years from now she won’t remember every sushi roll or every slice of egg. But I hope she’ll always remember that, long before the school bell rang, someone was already thinking about her with so much love.

And to me, that’s what a lunchbox has always been, a tiny love letter she gets to open at lunchtime.
