TOMORROW... BIKINI BOTTOM COMES TO LIFE!

Here are some of the cast of Rude Mechs Theater's THE SPONGEBOB MUSICAL with their favorite lines! The SpongeBob Musical opens at the Carlos P. Romulo Auditorium, at the RCBC Plaza in Makati this weekend!

The show with musical production conceived by Tina Landau and book by Kyle Jarrow is based on the series by Stephen Hillenburg. The first Philippine production is directed by Joonee Garcia and Deana Aquino of Rude Mechs Theater for the benefit of the Tuloy Foundation Performing Arts.

We were blown away by the talent and dedication and just the pure awesomeness in this prod and we are so excited to see the full show IN FOUR DAYS! The SpongeBob Musical will have a limited, three-show run from June 20-21. Few tickets are left so make sure to secure yours at Ticket2Me! This is gonna be the BEST. PLAY. EVER! BIKINI BOTTOM COMES TO LIFE TOMORROW! Here's another special and exclusive sneak peek at the rehearsals for Rude Mechs Theater's THE SPONGEBOB MUSICAL which opens at the Carlos P. Romulo Auditorium, at the RCBC Plaza in Makati TOMORROW, June 20th!

The show with musical production conceived by Tina Landau and book by Kyle Jarrow is based on the series by Stephen Hillenburg. The first Philippine production is directed by Joonee Garcia and Deana Aquino of Rude Mechs Theater for the benefit of the Tuloy Foundation Performing Arts.

The SpongeBob Musical features an amazing mix of experienced and young talents, with some featured in this teaser: Jael Ley as SpongeBob Squarepants (with alternates Luigi Quesada and Keyven Manalo), Oscar Hertel as Patrick Star (alternating with Wali Magno), Talie Bailon as Sandy Cheeks (alternating with Janine Idquivel and Pauline Santos), Meg Ruiz as Squidward (covering for Alexa Prats San Diego), Iago Coscoluella as Mr. Krabs (alternate: Justin Vasquez), Kael Coscolluela as Plankton (alternate: Reynier Leona), and Isa Osorio as Karen (alternate: Pauline Santos). They are all joined by an amazing ensemble of young performers from Rude Mechs Theater and the Tuloy Foundation!

It focuses on the internal and external battles women faced over their right to vote and their position in society. It stars Althea Aruta, Rain De Jesus, Vea Noroรฑa, and Miss Carla Martinez.

๐—ฃ๐—ฒ๐—ผ๐—ฝ๐—น๐—ฒ ๐˜ƒ. ๐——๐—ฒ๐—น๐—ฎ ๐—–๐—ฟ๐˜‚๐˜‡ is a returning play that imagines the countryโ€™s first-ever jury trial, where jurors deliberate on a man's fate while battling their own personal biases, politics, and social performance.

Both plays are written and directed by Eldrin Veloso and presented by The Corner Studio and Headroom in partnership with One Nexus Life Insurance and Eelos.

9 WORKS THEATRICAL DIVES INTO THE MYTHIC WITH โ€˜YEMAYAโ€™ โ€” A FILIPINO TRANSLATION OF QUIARA ALEGRรA HUDESโ€™ MASTERPIECE

9 Works proudly presents "YEMAYA," a Filipino translation of the acclaimed play Yemayaโ€™s Belly by Pulitzer Prize winner Quiara Alegrรญa Hudes. Written by the same visionary behind the Tony Award-winning In The Heights, and with translation by Eljay Castro Deldoc, YEMAYA brings Hudesโ€™ signature lyrical prose to this coming-of-age odyssey.

Leading the production in his highly anticipated directorial comeback is Ed Lacson Jr., one of the most celebrated names in Philippine theater design and direction. Leading the cast are Bituin Escalante as Yemaya/Inay; Benedix Ramos and Tommy Alejandrino, who alternate as Jesus/Mulo; and Sheena Belarmino and Ness Roque, who alternate as Maya. Completing the cast are Herbie Go as Tico, Sheenly Gener as Lila, Anthony Falcon as Jelin, and Wenah Nagales and Onyl Torres as covers.

Joining the creative team are Ed Lacson Jr. (director and set designer), Eljay Castro Deldoc (Filipino translator), Teresa Barrozo (music and sound designer), Wika Nadera (assistant set designer and art director), JM Cabling (movement director), Ericson Navarro (costume and prop designer), Jethro Nibaten (lighting designer), Sheik Completado (technical director), Elliza Aurelio (hair and makeup designer), and Lee Morale (photographer).
