OPENING OF THE COCONUT PAVILION at FABEX Kansai 2025 in Osaka, Japan

The Department of Trade and Industry, Export Marketing Bureau (DTI-EMB), in collaboration with the Philippine Trade and Investment Center (PTIC) Osaka, led the Philippine coconut delegation at the Food and Beverage Expo (FABEX) Kansai 2025, held from November 26 to 28 at INTEX Osaka, Japan.

The official opening was marked by a ribbon cutting ceremony on 26 November 2025. Philippine Coconut Pavilion was attended by Consul General of Osaka Voltaire D. Mauricio of the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), Commercial Counselor Michael Alfred V. Ignacio of PTIC-Osaka, Division Chief Heizle U. Trasmañas of DTI-EMB, Regional Director Marissa C. Argente of DTI-Region 4A and Provioncial Director Christian Ted O. Tungohan of DTI Laguna.

This initiative, implemented under the Coconut Farmers and Industry Development Plan (CFIDP), aims to connect with more Japanese buyers and partners, explore new opportunities for coconut exports, and learn from global trends and innovations in the food industry.

At the heart of the pavilion, 25 Filipino companies presented a diverse lineup of coconut products, from premium oils and tropical snacks to sustainable food ingredients. Each brand proudly showcased the quality, creativity, and export potential of the Philippine Coconut Industry.
