I started this page because I want to connect with those of you who have read my book ''Breaking Through''. I wish to address any issue or concern you may have and also be able to share insights that may help you be more intimate and obedient to God. My desire is that you all become fruitful in every area of your lives. Hopefully, you can attend them so we can bless each other. While the book is a

bout our story, the seminars will be about how to apply the principles we learned as my family and I went through our journey. My desire is that people would all experience breakthroughs in their lives and in their businesses. We hope to explain how God wants us to do business and how to develop the entrepreneur spirit in all of us. This does not necessarily aim to make everyone business owners, but desires to help everyone approach their work with the heart of an entrepreneur so that we can all succeed in life.

If you sell your business, you will bless the poor once.

If you keep your business, run it according to the ways of the Lord and remain faithful to Him, you can bless the poor forever.

This is my response to Luke 18:18 to 30, the conversion Jesus had with a rich young ruler.

Many people believe that the requirement Jesus gave the young ruler, to inherit eternal life, is to sell everything he has and give to the poor.

If I sell everything I have, I will now become poor. But this goes against what God said in Deuteronomy 15:4 NASBS

[4] However, there will be no poor among you, since the LORD will surely bless you in the land which the LORD your God is giving you as an inheritance to possess…

Besides i cannot sell what I have because they do not belong to me, but the Lord’s. Sabi ng Psalms 24:1, everything belongs to Him.

The real requirement Jesus gave, to inherit eternal life, is “Come follow Me!” - in everything we do, especially as we do business! This is what I do in the business God entrusted to me, and the results have been amazing. Sana ikaw din.

Many people today have a very negative view of employment. Feeling nila it is something they do only because they have no choice.

But in ODYSSEY OF EMPLOYMENT, we discuss why employment is actually a training ground for growth, discipline, wisdom, and fruitfulness.

“Employment is the best way to make money if you do not have money.”

“Employment is the best way to learn how to do business.”

Employment allows people to make money using their skills and character while developing the abilities needed to build a better future.

“As long as you’re willing to work at tama ugali mo, makakagawa ka ng pera.”

I am privileged to be invited as a speaker sa National Convention ng Full Gospel Business Men's Fellowship International on May 28. If you are a friend and are part of this event, I hope I can see you there and be a blessing to you.

If you are a friend, but will not be there, please pray for me, na sana I can share the fruits that God has produced in my life and in my business.

Kasi I am not a church leader or a pastor, instead I am a businessman who have been using the Bible as my operating manual for the past 28 years. Sana in this event I can help people understand how to do what we do, so that they may experience the blessings we have been enjoying.

The 43rd FGBMFI Philippines National Convention is pleased to present our Opening Banquet Speaker:

Jose Feron Cacanando

Mr. Cacanando is a distinguished farmer–entrepreneur and former Country Manager of Hewlett-Packard who made a bold transition from corporate leadership to purpose-driven enterprise. Demonstrating vision and conviction, he relocated to Bukidnon and established Moriah Farms, now a thriving producer of organic vegetables and livestock.

Guided by principles of faith, discipline, and stewardship, he also founded Semilya Sa Kinabuhi, an initiative dedicated to empowering individuals toward sustainable and meaningful livelihoods. As a speaker and author, he continues to influence audiences nationwide with insights on values-based leadership and long-term, sustainable growth.

We invite you to join us at the 43rd FGBMFI Philippines National Convention on May 28–30, 2026, at Novotel Manila, Araneta City, and be part of the Opening Banquet on May 28, 2026.

The best passive income comes from a healthy business. But the health of a business is determined by your ability and willingness to work.

What is passive income ba?

Passive income is money earned with MINIMAL ongoing effort, usually following an upfront investment of time, money, or resources.

If you are an employee, your salary is active income. If you are a startup entrepreneur, who needs to work hard to profit, your income is active income.

If you are a business owner who have done what is necessary to build a healthy business, one that profits with minimal effort, para sa akin passive income yan.

I am in business for the past 28 years, and the efforts I put in the business is much lesser than when I started. I am 64 and i am am continually improving the business so that when i am 80, i will work very little and still profit.

If the business is unhealthy, maraming problema, puro ayaw ang empleyado, may nakawan sa loob, etc. Pag 80 na ako magtratrabaho pa din ako. Baka nga hindi ako umabot ng 80 years old.

WHY ARE WE THIS WAY BA?

Many Filipinos get excited when someone comes to bring help in the form of ‘aid.' Sosyal na term ‘yan for alms. This is because many of us are always in need. At one point, a large number of our people had become dependent on 4Ps, and I was told na magra-riot daw ang mga beneficiaries if the government scrapped the program. Furthermore, many Filipinos were concerned about how President Duterte was alienating the US and European Union. It was because these countries might stop the aid they were giving to our country.

In Psalm 37:25, David said, “I have been young, and now am old, yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken or his children begging bread.” Since we often find ourselves begging for bread, does this mean we are not righteous? Or could it be na hindi lang natin naintindihan ang righteousness that the Bible speaks of?

The most precise definition of righteousness in the Bible is found in Deuteronomy 6:25 (NLT) and it says, “For we will be counted as righteous when we obey all the commands the Lord our God has given us.” According to this verse, righteousness merely means being obedient to the commandments of the Lord and living according to His ways. But what is God teaching us so that we do not end up begging?

In 2 Thessalonians 3:6-10 (NLT), Paul said, “Stay away from all believers who live idle lives... For you know that you ought to imitate us. We were not idle when we were with you. We never accepted food from anyone without paying for it. We worked hard day and night so we would not be a burden to any of you... Even while we were with you, we gave you this command: ‘Those unwilling to work will not get to eat.’” Here, Paul clearly shows us that part of God’s instructions is that we work so that we will never beg. In fact, sabi ng Proverbs 28:19 (ESV), “Whoever works his land will have plenty of bread, but he who follows worthless pursuits will have plenty of poverty.” Ang problema sa atin, we did not just forsake our land, we even allowed foreigners to take control of our resources! Why are we this way ba?

I learned that it was because ang idea natin ng blessing from God was like the manna the Israelites received when they were roaming the desert. Do you know that manna stopped falling the day the Israelites entered the Promised Land? This was because they had a fertile land of their own, God expected them to work the land so it would provide for their needs and give them abundance.

Sana, all Filipinos will understand that God channels His blessing through our work. When we live according to the ways of the Lord, we will never beg for anything anymore!

“HOW TO BE SUCCESSFULLY RICH”

Most motivational speakers would say that you should know your “WHY” if you want to succeed. You should also set goals so that you can measure your progress.

While I generally agree with the concept of goal setting and measuring one’s progress, these ideas may not necessarily be helpful all the time because some people can choose the wrong WHY and set the wrong goals.

When asked about their goals, most people would say that they want to become successfully rich as soon as possible, kasi sayang ang oras. So, they would hop from one job or business opportunity to another, looking for the quickest way to satisfy their WHY.

I realized that wanting to be “successfully rich” is an unrealistic goal because success is just a natural by-product of being excellent in your job or business. On the other hand, a person can never become excellent unless he stays put and is faithful with the responsibilities he has at hand. Furthermore, a person cannot become faithful unless he is humble enough to recognize that whatever his job is today, it is a blessing from the Lord. One of the most important things I’ve learned recently is that if you do not see something as a blessing, you will never enjoy it as a blessing. You will always be preoccupied with the thought that there might be something better elsewhere.

So, I would like to suggest that instead of dreaming to be successfully rich, we make it our ambition to become faithfully excellent in whatever we do today. When we do this, we will automatically become successful. And when this happens, riches will naturally follow.

And kasi kailangan mo ng trabaho, tinanggap mo.

Pag magaling ka magtrabaho, pag feeling nila you deserve a promotion, tataas ang sweldo. So, sila ang nagde-decide ng paglaki ng sweldo mo pero ANG PAGLAKI NG INCOME AND ANG PAGBABA NG EXPENSES, DESISYON NATIN YAN.
