Why TPK?
First and foremost, TPK exists because of Jesus. This business is more than just serving good food—it’s about sharing His love through every plate we serve. We pray that whoever comes across TPK—whether to eat, work, or partner with us—will feel the peace, joy, and presence of God. This place is for Him, and we dedicate everything we do to bring glory to His name.
At the same time, TPK is also a tribute to someone very special—my late mom. She passed away last December 2024, and though she never got to see this business take shape, her love for cooking and serving people lives on in every dish we make. She was my best friend, my kitchen mentor, and the one who taught me how to pour heart into food. I watched her growing up, always making sure every meal was satisfying and complete. She never wanted to serve anything “kulang” because she believed people deserved the best.
Back when I left my job to serve full-time in ministry, my mom and I sold party trays, snacks, anything we could, to make ends meet. I was her assistant in the kitchen, and that season sustained us both physically and spiritually. It was hard, but it was beautiful—and it planted the seeds for what TPK would one day become. That season taught me faith, perseverance, and unconditional love.
I tried naming the business many different things—minimalist, aesthetic ideas—but none of them felt right. When I used TPK, it just clicked. It’s easy to remember, it feels right, and it reminds me of her. But more than anything, it reminds me of our purpose: to serve food with excellence, and to share the love of Jesus in the process.
To everyone who supports TPK—thank you. We are a work in progress, but we are committed to growing, improving, and honoring both God and the legacy of my mom with every meal.
Mom, I know you’re smiling down from heaven, and I hope you’re rejoicing in what we’ve built in your honor. To God be the glory.
