Here’s a simple chicken and mushroom recipe using Jersey All-purpose cream and Ganado Mushroom!
Creamy Chicken and Mushroom Skillet
Ingredients:
2 chicken breasts (boneless, skinless)
1 can Ganado mushrooms (pi)
1 cup Jersey All-purpose cream
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 cloves garlic (minced)
1 cup chicken broth
1 teaspoon dried thyme (or fresh, if available)
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh parsley (for garnish, optional)
Instructions:
Prepare the Chicken: Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and thyme on both sides.
Cook the Chicken: In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
Sauté the Mushrooms: In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil. Add the sliced mushrooms and cook for about 5 minutes, until tender. Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute.
Add Broth and Cream: Pour in the chicken broth, scraping the bottom of the skillet. Bring to a simmer, then stir in the all-purpose cream. Mix well.
Combine: Return the chicken to the skillet, cover, and let it simmer for about 5-7 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.
Serve: Garnish with fresh parsley if desired. Serve with rice, pasta, or your favorite side.
