🐔 Chicken Pochero Recipe

Ingredients
• 1 kg chicken (cut into serving pieces)
• 2 tbsp cooking oil
• 1 onion (chopped)
• 5 cloves garlic (minced)
• 3 tomatoes (chopped)
• 2 tbsp tomato sauce
• 2 tbsp banana ketchup
• 1 tbsp fish sauce (patis)
• 1 chicken bouillon cube
• 4 cups water
• 2 pcs saba banana (sliced)
• 2 medium potatoes (cubed)
• 1 carrot (sliced)
• 1 cup green beans (Baguio beans)
• 1 small cabbage (chopped)
• ½ cup chickpeas (garbanzos, canned or boiled)
• Salt & pepper to taste

How to Cook
1. Sauté
• Heat oil in a pot.
• Sauté garlic, onion, and tomatoes until soft.
2. Add Chicken
• Add chicken. Cook until lightly browned.
• Add fish sauce, tomato sauce, and banana ketchup. Stir well.
3. Simmer
• Add water and chicken cube.
• Bring to a boil then simmer for 20–25 minutes until chicken is tender.
4. Add Veggies
• Add potatoes, carrots, saba banana, and garbanzos.
• Cook for 10 minutes.
5. Final Veggies
• Add green beans and cabbage.
• Simmer 3–5 minutes.
6. Season
• Add salt and pepper to taste.
