𝗣𝗔𝗟𝗜𝗠𝗕𝗔𝗡𝗚, 𝗛𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗟𝗬 𝗙𝗨𝗡𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗔𝗟 𝗟𝗖𝗔𝗧-𝗩𝗔𝗪𝗖! 🏆

Isang karangalan para sa Bayan ng Palimbang na makamit ang 106% na marka sa CY 2026 Functionality Assessment ng Local Committee on Anti-Trafficking and Violence Against Women and Their Children (LCAT-VAWC), na nagresulta sa pagkilala bilang Highly Functional LCAT-VAWC.

Ang tagumpay na ito ay bunga ng sama-samang pagsisikap ng Lokal na Pamahalaan, mga miyembro ng LCAT-VAWC, at mga katuwang na ahensya sa patuloy na pagpapatupad ng mga programang nagtataguyod ng karapatan, proteksyon, at kapakanan ng kababaihan at mga bata.

Taos-pusong pasasalamat sa Hon. Myrna C. Kapina, Municipal Mayor, at Hon. Joenime B. Kapina, Municipal Vice Mayor, sa kanilang patuloy na suporta at mahusay na pamumuno. Gayundin, taos-pusong pasasalamat sa DILG Sultan Kudarat at sa lahat ng mga opisina at katuwang na naging bahagi ng tagumpay na ito. Nawa'y magsilbi itong inspirasyon upang lalo pang mapalakas ang ating mga programa at serbisyo para sa isang ligtas, inklusibo, at mapagmalasakit na Pamayanang Palimbang.

Attended the First General PTA Meeting of Kanipaan Elementary School as a Resource Speaker on "Prorecting Children: A Shared Responsibility of School and Community"

Topics discussed were the ff:

>RA 7610- The Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination
>RA 8353- the Anti-Rape Law
>RA 10627- the Anti-Bullying Act of 2013
>RA 9208 or the Anti-trafficking in Person Act of 2003 as amended by RA 10364 as the Expanded Anti-trafficking in Person Act of 2012
>RA 11930- the Anti-Online Abuse and Exploitation of Children (OSAEC) and Anti-Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation Materials (CSAEM) Act
>RA 11596- Prohibition of Child Marriage Act

The MCAT-VAWC Second Quarter Meeting was successfully conducted on June 23, 2026 at Municipal Function Hall, Baranayan, Palimbang, Sultan Kudarat. The meeting was conducted to assess the implementation of programs and activities related to the prevention of human trafficking and violence against women and their children. Discuss current issues and concerns, review accomplishment for the second quarter, and formulate plans and strategies for the succeeding quarters.

The meeting also strengthen coordination among committee members and partner agencies to ensure the effective delivery of services and interventions.

The meeting was attended and convened by the Municipal Administrator Mr. Mhark Siokon, the permanent alternate of LCE Hon. Myrna C. Kapina.

In line with the government's commitment to strengthen programs and intervention against human trafficking and violence against women and their children (VAWC), The First Quarter MCAT-VAWC Regular Meeting was successfully conducted last April 7, 2026. The meeting was attended and officialy represented by the Municipal Administrator, Mr. Mhark Siokon.

The meeting served as venue for member agencies and other stakeholders to coordinate efforts, share updates, and strengthen partnership in addressing issues and concerning trafficking and VAWC

The Kapina administration led by our LCE Hon. Myrna C. Kapina and Municipal Vice-Mayor Hon. Joenime B. Kapina, remains steadfast in its commitment to promoting the welfare, safety and protection of women and children and other vulnerable sectors through strengthen inter-agency collaboration, effective implementation of programs and services and sustained community-based initiatives. Their leadership continue to support the objectives of MCAT-VAWC in fostering a responsive, inclusive and violence-free community

The LGU Palimbang successfully conducted the Re-Orientation on Gender and Development (GAD) and Gender Mainstreaming, participated in by the members of the Gender and Development Focal Point System (GFPS) and MIACAT-VAWC Council.

The activity was graced by the presence of Mayor Myrna Casas Kapina whose support continues to strengthen the municipality’s commitment to gender-responsive governance, inclusivity, and equality in public service. 💜

A powerful start to the 18-Day Campaign to End VAW during last Monday’s Flag Raising Ceremony. With one voice and one mission. Together, we stand for safety, dignity, and equality. 🧡

The LGU Palimbang stands united in the fight against violence!

On December 1, 2025, during the Flag Raising Ceremony, LGU employees participated in the 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women. The event was graced by the presence of Hon. Akmad Tausing, the OIC in behalf of Mayor Myrna C. Kapina and VM Joenime B. Kapina, together with Municipal Administrator Mhark Siokon, the Chief of Police PLTCOL Gary Flor C. Marfil, and various department heads.

Featured during the event were:
• A brief Orientation on RA 9262 (Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children) given by Patrolwoman Adelaida Lumumba
• The MCAT-VAWC Accomplishment Report delivered by the MSWD Office as Head Secretariat
• Messages of Commitment and Support from the Municipal Administrator, the OIC Mayor, and the Chief of Police

A Signing of Commitment was also conducted, participated in by LGU employees, followed by a symbolic photo opportunity with orange balloons, reaffirming everyone’s dedication to building a violence-free community.
