Review: Sunrise on the Reaping
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Absolutely gripping and heartbreaking!

Sunrise on the Reaping is an emotionally intense read that had me hooked from the beginning, just like the Hunger Games trilogy and Ballad. Suzanne Collins once again proves her ability to create a story that is both gripping and deeply unsettling. The tension, the injustice, and the emotional weight of the characters’ struggles make every page hit hard. It’s the kind of book that leaves you angry, heartbroken, and thinking about it long after you’ve finished reading. A powerful, unforgettable addition to The Hunger Games universe. 💔🔥

Spectacular is a magical treat for every Caraval fan! Stephanie Garber brings back the enchanting world filled with romance, mystery, and whimsical surprises. It was wonderful to revisit these beloved characters and get lost in the dreamy atmosphere once again. A charming, heartwarming read that reminds me why I fell in love with the Caraval series in the first place! ✨❤️

Review: Lorenzo's Way, Greenbelt
⭐⭐⭐⭐

Lorenzo’s Way is a nice spot for dining with family and friends. The ambiance is inviting, and the food was generally good, making it a pleasant place to enjoy a meal.

The only letdown was the crispy pata, as the meat was quite tough and not as tender as expected. Improving the texture and preparation of this dish would make a big difference. Overall, it was a good dining experience, though there’s still a little room for improvement.

Nanbantei
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Nanbantei is a great spot for satisfying Japanese food! Their yakitori is a must-try, grilled just right and full of flavor. There’s a good selection of dishes to choose from, making it an ideal place for a casual meal with family or friends.

The food quality, inviting ambiance, and enjoyable dining experience make this restaurant worth visiting. If you’re a fan of Japanese cuisine, especially grilled skewers, Nanbantei is definitely a place to add to your list. Looking forward to dining here again!

Review: Katabasis by RF Kuang
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Katabasis completely drew me in from the beginning. The story has such a dark, atmospheric quality that made the world feel vivid and almost dreamlike. I loved the way mythology and fantasy were woven together, creating a story that felt mysterious, intense, and different from the usual fantasy reads.

The characters also made the story especially engaging. Their emotions, struggles, and relationships felt meaningful, and I found myself becoming genuinely invested in their journey. There was a great mix of tension, vulnerability, and darker moments that kept me curious about what would happen next.

Overall, Katabasis was such an immersive and memorable read. It’s atmospheric, beautifully crafted, and filled with mythology, adventure, and emotion. Definitely a five-star read for me and one I’d recommend to anyone who loves dark fantasy and mythology-inspired stories.

Review: Beautiful Bahay Cafe, Parqal
⭐️⭐️

The interiors and overall ambiance are beautiful, with a cozy and Instagram-worthy aesthetic. However, the food was quite disappointing. Despite how lovely the place looks, the dishes we ordered lacked flavor and didn’t really stand out.

It’s a nice spot if you’re looking for a beautiful place to hang out and take photos, but unfortunately, the food didn’t meet our expectations.

Review: Long Live the Pumpkin Queen
⭐⭐⭐⭐

Long Live the Pumpkin Queen is a charming, spooky, and bittersweet continuation of Sally’s story from The Nightmare Before Christmas. I loved seeing Sally step out of Jack’s shadow and find her own voice, while the story explores love, identity, and the courage to choose your own path. The Halloween Town atmosphere is wonderfully eerie and whimsical, with just the right touch of darkness. A fun read for fans of the original, especially if you’re looking for a little gothic magic, romance, and nostalgia.

Review: Wendy Darling vol3 - Shadow by Colleen Oakes
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A gripping and emotional conclusion to the Wendy Darling trilogy. I loved seeing Wendy become stronger and more fearless as she faces Peter and fights for the people she cares about. With plenty of action, twists, romance, and a darker Neverland, Shadow kept me hooked until the very end. A satisfying finale to a beautifully twisted Peter Pan retelling.
