Andrew Waltfeld pilots the ZGMF-X88S Gaia Gundam occurs in Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny (Episodes 39), rather than the original Gundam SEED. Known as the "Eternal Chase" or "Eternal Drop Battle," it marks Waltfeld’s only deployment of this specific mobile suit.

The support ship Eternal, captained by Andrew Waltfeld, hurriedly launches to protect its allies and escape into open space.

Terminal had previously salvaged and repaired the captured Gaia Gundam. They customized it in Waltfeld’s signature orange and yellow color scheme, paying homage to his original "Desert Tiger" LaGOWE unit.
