✨ Jerusalem Church ✨

English:
I am Jerome Miguela Trestiza — a fisherman, farmer, and artist from the shores of Bicol. This is my creation: the Church of Jerusalem. I used black and white sand from the sea, and old cloth sewn together with love. My materials may be simple, but every grain and every stitch comes straight from my heart.

Many have called me weak. Many judged, belittled, and mocked what I do. But I remained silent — not because I gave up, but because I know a true person fights not with words, but through their work and by staying true to themselves.

I created the Church of Jerusalem because it is the heart of our faith. I hope that in this holy place, where Jesus walked and loved, I too will be accepted — not judged, but understood and loved. I don't need to be rich or famous to be worthy. I am enough. I am not weak — my foundation is firm, just like this church, built on faith in Jesus. 🙏✨

"This is my artwork — the Church of San Rafael Archangel in Pilar, Sorsogon. Coming home tired from the sea and the fields, carrying heavy coconuts up steep, thorny paths — I pour all my hope and faith into this.
