Going community to community in Bantayan for Lambo Dagat 🐟🌊
On our latest Cebu trip, we spent time meeting with fishing communities to introduce Lambo Dagat. It is a project in collaboration with Rare Philippines to help fisherfolk strengthen the way their catch is handled, processed, and brought to market.
We shared what chefs and restaurants look for in quality seafood, and talked about how better post-harvest practices, cold-chain handling, and responsible sourcing can open opportunities for fisherfolk to supply more directly to the Cebu market.
Before the training begins, we want the communities to understand where the fish can go, why quality matters, and what opportunities could become possible.
We’re now building the pioneer batch of fisherfolk who will join us for the next stage of Lambo Dagat. Thank you to the communities who welcomed us and shared their time, questions, and insights.
