SNAKE SEASON ALERT: SNAKES MORE LIKELY TO APPEAR AS EXTREME HEAT TRIGGERS MOVEMENT AND BREEDING SEASON 🐍☀️
During periods of extreme heat and the dry season, snakes are more likely to come out of their hiding places due to rising temperatures and the need to search for food and water. This time of year is also the breeding season for the king cobra and many other snake species, which means their activity increases and encounters with humans may become more frequent.
Snakes may be seen in yards, farms, grassy fields, near water sources, and even inside homes as they look for cooler shelter. Dry weather and habitat disturbances can also push them closer to residential areas.
The public is strongly advised to stay alert and take preventive measures, especially when cleaning surroundings, walking through tall grass, or handling piles of wood, debris, or construction materials where snakes may hide.
Safety Reminders:
• Keep your surroundings clean and remove potential hiding spots.
• Wear protective footwear when outdoors.
• Use a flashlight when walking in dark areas at night.
• Keep doors, windows, and drainage openings properly sealed.
• If you see a snake, do not attempt to catch or kill it. Move away slowly and contact local authorities or wildlife experts for safe removal.
Stay cautious and protect your family during snake season. Awareness and preparedness can help prevent accidents. 🚨🐍
