The Department of Tourism (DOT) has launched the first Philippine Tourism Awards, honouring enterprises and individuals for their lasting contributions to the industry. 17 companies, including Marsman Drysdale Travel Inc., Rajah Travel Corporation, and Taal Vista Hotel, received Tourism Pillar Awards, while 30 individual pioneers were also recognized (three posthumously), including our very own, MDTI Sales & Inbound Director, Ms. Mary Ann Imbong. Tourism Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco said the awardees have raised industry standards and showcased Filipino hospitality worldwide. Accepting the award for MDTI were Ms. Cindy V. Ignacio, VP & Head of Sales, Acct Management and Ms. Eden Mozo, Inbound & Domestic Assistant Manager.
