Lorrie is a certified MFI Mermaid and Underwater Dance Instructor. She is also a talented belly dancer, bringing with her creativity, energy, and a deep love for our community and the ocean. Our beloved Mersis Chacha is fighting the battle of her life against Guillain-Barré Syndrome (GBS), and she needs our community's love and support now more than ever.

Right now, Chacha is in the ICU, courageously facing a rare autoimmune disorder that arrived without warning and turned her world upside down. Guillain-Barré Syndrome is attacking the protective covering of her nerve fibers, causing her body to weaken and requiring her to depend on intensive medical care just to breathe and function.

Though Chacha had been bravely managing another autoimmune condition for a few years now, GBS came like a storm in the night. But even in the ICU, surrounded by machines, her spirit shines through. The medical team is working around the clock, providing specialized treatments to halt this disease's progression and guide her back to the vibrant mermaid we all know and love.

We're reaching out to our wonderful community with hearts full of hope, asking for your help during this challenging time. The medical costs are overwhelming, but we believe that together, we can lift this burden from Chacha and her family so they can focus on what matters most - her healing and recovery. We're asking our community to rally around Chacha with financial support.

Please consider opening your heart today. Whatever amount, every single donation is a thread in the blanket of love we're weaving around Chacha. Your generosity isn't just covering medical expenses - it's giving her family hope, showing her she's not alone, and proving that love truly can move mountains. Prayers are welcome too.
