“𝐁𝐀𝐖𝐀𝐋 𝐀𝐍𝐆 𝐓𝐀𝐍𝐆𝐀 𝐒𝐀 𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐒𝐓𝐑𝐔𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍”
This statement may sound harsh at first glance, but it's a reality check that every aspiring and practicing Construction Leaders needs to hear. In the world of construction and design, being careless, negligent, or "TANGA" is not just a personal flaw—it’s a professional liability.
When you're entrusted with designing a building or supervising a structure, you’re not just working with concrete and steel. You're handling budgets, lives, timelines, and reputations. A small miscalculation in load-bearing capacity, a wrong specification in materials, or a failure to review site conditions can lead to delays, financial losses, structural failures—or worse, accidents that cost lives.
This is why Construction Leaders are regulated professions. We took oaths to uphold standards, safety, and ethics. We’re licensed not just to build, but to protect the public. That’s why there's no room for complacency or ignorance. Hindi excuse ang “nagkamali lang.” As professionals, we are expected to double-check, ask when unsure, and continuously update our knowledge.
“BAWAL maging TANGA” doesn’t mean you can’t make mistakes—it means you are accountable when those mistakes happen, because someone’s house, jobsite, or life may be affected. This phrase is a reminder that every decision you make matters—from design concept to construction ex*****on.
So embrace this tough love mantra. Let it serve as a daily reminder to take your profession seriously. Be detail-oriented. Stay sharp. Ask questions. Study the code. And most of all, never stop learning.
Because in our line of work, a moment of carelessness can cost more than just money. It can cost trust, credibility, and lives.
