PNP, DENR DISRUPT ILLEGAL MINING OPERATION; ₱7.1-M WORTH OF EQUIPMENT, ORES SEIZED

The Philippine National Police (PNP) successfully stopped an illegal mining operation in Barobo, Surigao del Sur on June 28, resulting in the arrest of three male suspects and the confiscation of mining equipment and mineral ores valued at approximately ₱7,109,900.00.

The operation was conducted by personnel of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 13, together with the Barobo Municipal Police Station and the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR). The suspects were allegedly caught extracting mineral resources without the necessary permit, in violation of Republic Act No. 7942 or the Philippine Mining Act of 1995.

The accomplishment highlights the PNP's continued coordination with partner government agencies under its Focused Agenda, particularly in strengthening police operations against environmental law violations. PNP TAKES CUSTODY OF ADDITIONAL FI****MS UNDER REVOKED LICENSES OF SENATOR RONALD “BATO” DELA ROSA

The Philippine National Police (PNP) has taken custody of six additional fi****ms voluntarily turned over on Monday, June 22, in line with the revocation of the License to Own and Possess Fi****ms (LTOPF) and firearm registrations of Senator Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa.

The turnover was facilitated by personnel of the PNP Fi****ms and Explosives Office and the Regional Civil Security Unit 4A in coordination with the local police. The fi****ms were received from the Senator’s legal representative at his residence in Silang, Cavite for temporary safekeeping, following established procedures.

With this latest turnover, the total number of fi****ms already surrendered now stands at 26, following the initial turnover of 20 fi****ms on June 11. The revocation order covers a total of 117 fi****ms registered under the Senator’s name.

The PNP said the continued implementation of the order is part of its commitment to the consistent and impartial enforcement of fi****ms laws and regulations, in line with its Focused Agenda on Enhanced Managing Police Operations, which promotes fair, lawful, and accountable police action while strengthening public trust.

The revocation was issued by the PNP Fi****ms and Explosives Office pursuant to Republic Act No. 10591, and its enforcement is being undertaken in accordance with established legal procedures and due process.

PNP-FDA-NMIS BUST UNLICENSED MEAT FACILITY; 2 ARRESTED, ₱4.5-M WORTH OF PRODUCTS SEIZED

The Philippine National Police (PNP), under the leadership of PNP Chief, PGEN Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., intensified its campaign against violations of food safety laws as a joint enforcement operation with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the National Meat Inspection Service (NMIS) led to the arrest of two individuals and the seizure of approximately ₱4,500,000.00 worth of suspected unsafe frozen meat products in Bacolor, Pampanga.

The operation, conducted on June 18 to 19, 2026, by the Regional Special Operations Group of the Regional Intelligence Division 3 (RSOG-RID3) of Police Regional Office 3, in partnership with the FDA Regional Field Office 3, NMIS Region 3, concerned offices of the Bacolor Municipal Government, and the Bacolor Municipal Police Station, targeted a meat processing facility in Barangay Calibutbut that was allegedly operating without the required License to Operate from the FDA.

Authorities arrested the establishment’s registered owner and production manager for alleged violations of Republic Act No. 10611, or the Food Safety Act of 2013, and Republic Act No. 9296, or the Meat Inspection Code of the Philippines, as amended.

During the inspection, law enforcement and regulatory authorities confiscated approximately 40 tons of assorted frozen beef, pork, and chicken products with an estimated value of ₱4,500,000.00. Initial findings indicated that some of the meat products had already expired and were allegedly being repackaged or recycled for distribution, posing potential health risks to consumers. The processing facility was temporarily closed pending further investigation and appropriate action by the concerned government agencies, while the arrested individuals and seized evidence were placed under the custody of RSOG-RID3 for proper documentation and disposition.

“Our responsibility extends beyond enforcing the law—we must also protect the public from products that threaten health and safety. This operation reflects the PNP’s commitment to working with partner agencies to stop unlawful activities that endanger Filipino consumers,” PNP Chief, PGEN Nartatez said.

PNP OPERATION IN MAKATI ENDS YEARS OF HIDING FOR REGIONAL MOST WANTED PERSON

A Regional Most Wanted Person who had been in hiding for years was arrested in Makati City during a joint law enforcement operation conducted by the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) and Police Regional Office 4A (PRO4A) on June 15, 2026.

The coordinated operation between NCRPO and PRO4A, with support from intelligence units and local police personnel, led to the lawful service of a standing warrant of arrest in Barangay Bangkal. BICOL’S NO. 1 MOST WANTED SUSPECT IN MURDER CASE CAPTURED IN MASBATE

A high-value regional most wanted person was arrested in San Fernando, Masbate following a coordinated intelligence-driven operation led by Police Regional Office 5, in coordination with national support units and military partners.

The arrest was made by virtue of a warrant of arrest for Murder with no bail recommended issued by the court. Prior to the operation, police units conducted surveillance, intelligence validation, and monitoring activities to locate the suspect and ensure a safe and orderly arrest.

The arrested individual, known by the alias “Eli,” is identified as a high-ranking member of a Communist Terrorist Group operating in the Bicol region and was tagged as the region’s No. 1 Most Wanted Person.

COURT CONVICTS CANADIAN NATIONAL LINKED TO ONE OF PH’S BIGGEST DRUG BUSTS

The Philippine National Police (PNP) welcomed the conviction of a Canadian national linked to the recovery of approximately 1.4 tons of suspected shabu worth ₱9.68 billion in Alitagtag, Batangas, one of the largest anti-illegal drug operations in Philippine history.

The Regional Trial Court in Tagaytay City found Canadian national, "identified by the alias “James Toby Martin,”guilty beyond reasonable doubt of two counts of Illegal Possession of Dangerous Drugs under Republic Act No. 9165. The court sentenced him to life imprisonment and imposed the corresponding fines after determining that the prosecution had sufficiently established the elements of the offenses and preserved the integrity of the evidence presented throughout the trial.

The conviction is the result of sustained intelligence monitoring, surveillance, and coordinated investigative efforts that began following the massive Batangas drug seizure in 2024, during the tenure of PNP Chief, Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., as Regional Director of the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO). Through continuous validation, case build-up, and close inter-agency coordination, law enforcement authorities were able to identify key personalities linked to the illegal drug network, ultimately leading to the arrest and successful prosecution of the foreign national.

The case stemmed from the interception of approximately 1.4 tons of suspected shabu in Barangay Pinagkurusan, Alitagtag, Batangas on April 15, 2024, valued at around ₱9.68 billion. The seizure ranks among the largest illegal drug recoveries in Philippine law enforcement history and prompted extensive follow-up operations to identify and dismantle the criminal network behind the shipment.

Subsequent investigations identified the suspect as a key figure and primary suspect in the drug operation. He was arrested on May 16, 2024, in Tagaytay City through a joint law enforcement operation while under an Interpol Red Notice and a Bureau of Immigration Mission Order for his alleged involvement in transnational drug trafficking activities.

Authorities also recovered substantial quantities of suspected shabu and co***ne during his arrest, which formed part of the evidence supporting the criminal cases that led to his conviction.

The 33-year-old Filipino male carpenter from Catarman, Northern Samar was apprehended by virtue of warrants of arrest issued by the Regional Trial Court in Catarman, with no bail recommended for the multiple charges.

The operation was conducted by personnel of the Northern Samar Police Provincial Office through the Lope de Vega Municipal Police Station, in coordination with the 1st Northern Samar Provincial Mobile Force Company, Provincial Intelligence Unit, CIDG-Northern Samar Provincial Field Unit, Pasig City Police Office, and the Regional Special Operations Unit 8. PNP RESCUES OVER ₱5.5-M WORTH OF WILDLIFE, NABS FOREIGN NATIONAL IN SARANGANI

The Philippine National Police (PNP) continues to strengthen its campaign against environmental crimes following the successful rescue of more than ₱5.5 million worth of protected wildlife species and the arrest of a foreign national in Sarangani Province.

The operation was conducted on June 4, 2026, by personnel of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG), in coordination with the Provincial Intelligence Unit of the Sarangani Police Provincial Office, local police units, and the Department of Environment and Natural Resources–Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (DENR-MENRO) of Sarangani.

Authorities recovered several protected wildlife species allegedly being possessed and traded without the permits required under Republic Act No. 9147, otherwise known as the Wildlife Resources Conservation and Protection Act, which regulates the collection, possession, transport, and trade of wildlife and wildlife by-products in the country.

The arrested suspect, identified only by the alias “Son,” an Indonesian national, is facing appropriate charges for alleged violation of RA 9147.

The successful operation underscores the PNP's commitment to protecting the country's biodiversity and natural resources. PNP ARRESTS NO. 3 REGIONAL MOST WANTED PERSON IN NEGROS ORIENTAL

The Philippine National Police (PNP) successfully arrested the No. 3 Regional Most Wanted Person during a law enforcement operation conducted in Barangay Kalamtukan, Bayawan City, Negros Oriental, on June 5, 2026.

The operation led to the apprehension of a 31-year-old Filipino male, identified by the alias “Ontoy,” a resident of the said barangay. He was arrested by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by the Regional Trial Court in Bayawan City for R**e in Relation to Republic Act No. 7610, with no bail recommended. The warrant was issued in November 2015.

The arrest was carried out by personnel of the Bayawan City Police Station Warrant Section through an Oplan Tracker operation following sustained monitoring and validation efforts.

In line with the PNP Focused Agenda, particularly Enhanced Managing Police Operations, this accomplishment highlights the organization’s continuing efforts to locate and apprehend wanted persons, ensuring that fugitives are brought before the court and that justice is served.
