Wrapping up the Bread, Kakanin & Sweet Treat Station of the J&P Wedding — a simple yet meaningful setup inspired by a more personal and practical version of today’s grazing table.👏

Since the station was placed in an open area and most guests travelled all the way from Manila, each item was individually packed to keep everything clean, safe, and easy to take home. And true enough, after enjoying a bite, many guests grabbed extra pieces for the road.🧡

Together with our highly recommended partner Espresso to Roam, who served quality coffee and non-coffee beverages that perfectly complemented every bread, kakanin, and sweet treat, the station became a warm and memorable part of the celebration.

Continuing the J&P Wedding journey — this time featuring the homebaked breads, kakanin, and refreshing drinks from The Kitchen HOB.

Served at the Bread, Kakanin & Sweet Treat Station were our Tuna Cheesemelt Buns, Chicken Sausage Rolls, and Ham & Cheese Bread — thoughtfully prepared with a grab-and-bite concept instead of the usual open grazing setup.

Adding a local touch were the well-loved Bibingka sa Latik and Bibingkang Galapong with Monggo filling from Indang, alongside another crowd favorite — the exclusive Lemongrass Tea cold drink specially crafted for the celebration. Refreshing, light, and surprisingly flavorful, many guests were amazed that tea could be made from fresh lemongrass.

While lemongrass tea already exists in a few cafés and restaurants in the Philippines, it is still something not commonly seen or served as a handcrafted cold tea drink — making this version even more special for the occasion.💖

One of the sweetest bits and pieces from the J&P Wedding preparation — the exclusive J&P Revel Bar.😍

Specially crafted for their intimate celebration, this version was inspired by the couple’s love for the original Cubie Chunkie Revel Bar, especially the Bride who used to order boxes of it as gifts.🥰

Made exclusively for them, every bite begins with the light saltiness and crunch of whole cashews and pistachios, balanced by the subtle sweet and richness of dark chocolate, then finished with the buttery chewiness of rolled oats that lingers perfectly.

Served at the Bread, Kakanin, and Sweet Treat Station, this was one of the first to disappear from the table.💖

For this wedding, we wanted it to truly feel like theirs — from the flavor to the branding itself. So for one special day, Snookys Bites quietly stepped aside and became the J&P Revel Bar.

From everyday comfort food to something deeply personal and unforgettable — this is a journey we are truly honored to be part of.🥰

Far different from what we usually prepare at The Kitchen HOB, a couple about to tie the knot trusted us to help make their very intimate wedding extra special.

From food tasting and selecting the dishes that will be served by their chosen catering service, to recommending coffee suppliers and checking the quality of coffee — every detail was carefully considered with love and intention.

We were also entrusted to prepare the Bread and Sweet Treat Station that perfectly complements the coffee experience. A cold tea drink and a special seafood dish crafted exclusively for their celebration.Every detail was thoughtfully prepared to make their wedding even more memorable and personal.

Over the next few days, we’ll be sharing bits and pieces of this beautiful journey — the food, the preparations, and even some wedding suppliers we highly recommend.

Some might say it looks like a simple ginataang tulingan — but the story of this dish begins long before it reaches the pot.

After carefully cleaning each fish, we lightly blanch it first, then let it spend time over smoke — allowing the flesh to absorb that deep, wood-fired aroma that gives every bite a subtle richness.

That gentle smokiness brings a flavor that is earthy, savory, and quietly lingering — the kind that stays on the palate even after the last spoonful.

From there, the fish is slowly simmered in rich coconut milk, together with herbs and spices, until the sauce becomes silky and every piece is infused with layers of flavor.

Imagine that first spoonful —
the warm creaminess of coconut,
the fragrant herbs,
the soft tender fish,
and beneath it all, that delicate smoky depth that makes you pause for another bite.

It may begin as ginataang tulingan —
but the flavor tells a completely different story.

Today’s plate at The Kitchen HOB—not for sale, just something we made for our family.🥰

School break gave us time to slow down and cook what we’ve been craving. Freshly baked brioche-style bread turned into a döner sandwich—a beloved street food that originated in Turkey, known for its seasoned meat, fresh vegetables, and creamy sauces served in bread or wraps.

It’s something we’ve come to love during our time working in Dubai, UAE, where this kind of food is everywhere and always satisfying.

Ours is filled seasoned beef, fresh tomatoes, onions, coriander with garlic sauce served with golden potato fries on the side.

That’s why eating out isn’t always the plan—we prepare what we truly crave at home.😃

With rising transportation costs and increasing prices of basic goods, we’ve been finding simple, practical ways to cope—and we want to share them with you.😊

Lately, galunggong has been one of the most affordable fish in the market, so we decided to make the most out of it. After finishing our batch of dinaing na galunggong (perfect for this sunny season ☀️), we finally fired up our smoker at the back of Kitchen HOB to create our very own homemade tinapang galunggong.

For us, breakfast is non-negotiable. It fuels our day, especially with orders coming in anytime. Having something hearty and ready keeps us going—and this is one way we make sure we’re always prepared.
We hope this inspires you to get creative at home too. Simple ingredients, a little effort, and a lot of heart can go a long way in today’s times.

From simple baon days to this milestone, ang bilis ng panahon...

To celebrate, we prepared something close to what we love doing—
a simple snack box made with care, meant to be shared with friends and teachers on a special day.

Not too fancy, just comforting bites:
homebaked sausage buns and cheese rolls, Snooky's Cubie Chunkie Revel Bar and little treats to enjoy during a long program.

Because sometimes, it’s the simplest things that make moments more memorable.

Another craving made at Kitchen HOB.🧡

The HOB fam finally had time to prepare one of our own favorites. Ate Sigh has been craving ginataang bilo-bilo—or palarusdos, as they call it in Indang.

With a bit more breathing room this summer break, we got to slow down and make it from scratch.

Simple ingredients, made special:
saba banana, ube, small tapioca, glutinous rice balls, jackfruit, and cassava—prepared a little differently. We grated the cassava and molded it like glutinous balls for that extra chewy texture once cooked.

Simmered in coconut milk, gently sweetened with brown sugar, and infused with pandan leaves—then finished with all the good stuff coming together in one pot. The rich, creamy texture is made even better with the natural strands from ripe jackfruit.

That natural purple color? It comes from real ube—no artificial color or food coloring added.

Natural and simple ingredients always make the dish extra special.🥰
