Gem, your story is proof that passion can find us in the most unexpected ways. From earning your certification at TESDA NC II – BPP (Batch August 2025), to continuously investing in yourself through workshops and masterclasses, from moist cakes, chiffon cakes, piping flowers, basic palette techniques, to EMF fondant you’ve shown what true dedication looks like. And with even more classes lined up this year, your growth is just getting started.
What makes your journey even more inspiring is how you’ve embraced this craft despite coming from a completely different path. With a degree in Business Administration major in Marketing, you built a strong career as a Senior Account Executive for a Japan-based brand (multi-function portal). You then transitioned into becoming a Virtual Assistant Manager in Social Media Marketing, later growing into a Review Team Coordinator for a non-profit organization, and eventually a Cell Manager in the insurance industry, focusing on Life (VUL & Traditional) and Non-Life insurances (car, motor, and fire).
All these experiences shaped your discipline, creativity, and heart for service, qualities that now shine through every Sweetgem creation.
A passion you never thought you’d love has now become your purpose. And today, your focus is clear, creating more meaningful cakes, touching more lives, and pursuing even greater heights through masteral studies and pastry schooling.
