Some nights call for effort. This isn't one of them.

Toss fresh prawns into whatever you've got: noodles, a splash of soy, tomatoes, herbs from the fridge door. Fifteen minutes, one pan, and it looks like you tried harder than you actually did.

We just make sure the prawns show up fresh enough to carry the dish. The chow mein part, that's on you.

Reef-dwelling fish like this sit lower on the food chain, which means less time to accumulate anything you don't want on your plate, and more of what you do: clean protein, good fat, real nutrition. Nothing exotic about it, just fish the way it's meant to be.

Good breaded prawns are a balance. Crunch on the outside, but the prawn underneath still has to taste like prawn, not just batter and oil.

That only works if what you're breading is fresh to begin with, not something that's been sitting around. We get you the prawns. You handle the breading, the fry, the golden crunch, however you like it done.

Sliced cucumber, an avocado from your nearest mart, a scoop of boiled rice, a Chaunsa mango cut small enough to hide in every bite, and Wholesome tuna so fresh it doesn't need a sauce to carry it. Five minutes, no stove, no recipe to follow exactly.
