You’ve navigated February. You’ve survived the emails, the school runs, and the "what’s for dinner?" dread. Now, it’s time for the ultimate end-of-month reward.

It’s Pie Day Friday at Lucia’s Cafe, and the rules are simple: pull up a chair, forget the dishes, and embrace the crumbs. We’ve brought the best of our collection (hand-folded by our artisan partners) straight to Lucia’s ovens. Piping hot, served with a side of proper chips and a fresh salad. It’s a bit of home, a bit of sunshine, and a lot of flaky pastry.

Whether you're catching up with the local expat crew or just need a quiet moment with a pie and a glass of wine, the table is set. Come hungry. Leave happy. See you in Cascais?

Lucia's Cafe, Av. Sabóia 623B, 2765-278 Estoril.

We like to think of ourselves as the ultimate bridge between your cravings and the best makers in the business. 🌍 We do the legwork for you. We find the people who bake with heart (like our brilliant South African partner who handles the classics) and we bring them straight to your door.

If it’s not authentic, it doesn’t make the cut. But we want to know: what are we missing? What is the one flavour that would make your month?

Drop your requests in the comments. We’re always looking for the next "Real Deal" to add to our collection.

You’ve had a long day, the "what's for dinner" dread has set in, and you need a win that doesn't involve a 40-minute oven preheat. Enter the mid-week hero.

These aren't your typical soggy, supermarket microwave pies. We’ve sourced these specifically because they hold their own. You get that same slow-cooked filling and artisan-crafted flavour, just at the speed of light. It’s the ultimate "break glass in case of emergency" meal for your freezer.

Perfect for the office lunch, the late-night snack, or the Wednesday where you just can’t even. Fast food? Technically. Real food? Absolutely.

Stock up on your "sanity insurance" today.

By the time the final week of the month rolls around, our decision-making skills are at an all-time low. We’ve all been there: staring into a half-empty fridge at 6 PM, wondering if a jar of olives and a slice of toast counts as a balanced meal. It doesn't. You’ve worked far too hard for that.

Consider this your permission slip to stop trying so hard. We’ve already handled the slow-simmering and the hand-folding. All you have to do is check off the last item and turn on the oven.

No dishes. No stress. Just the kind of golden, flaky reward that makes the month’s end feel like a celebration instead of a struggle.

Are you ticking off number 5 or number 6 tonight? Let us know in the comments!

In 1852, a secret family recipe was rescued from a shipwreck off the East London coast. That recipe became the Mrs Ball’s Chutney we all know and love today. Some things are just too good to let go!

You’ve earned a moment of peace. We’ve got the perfect spot at Lucia’s in Cascais where the only "deadline" is finishing your meal before it gets cold. A piping hot, handmade pie, golden chips, and the kind of flaky pastry that makes the whole week feel worth it.

It’s simple, it’s hearty, and it’s waiting for you. Pull up a chair, grab a cold drink, and let us handle the rest. The weekend starts here. See you at the table?

There is no such thing as being "too dramatic" about your choice of condiments. When you’re an expat, these aren't just jars; they’re anchors. They’re the taste of childhood snacks, Sunday braais, and rainy-day toast. We know that a "similar" version just doesn't hit the same spot. It’s the real deal or nothing.

Our shelves are currently stocked with the heavy hitters. The only question is: which one is currently running low in your cupboard?
Tell us your "must-have" staple in the comments, and let’s see if Team Chutney or Team Tomato Sauce wins this round.

Let’s be honest: We’ve all had those "supermarket specials" that shrink to half their size the moment they hit the pan. That’s why we went looking for the real deal. These are proper, meaty pork sausages.

Whether they’re squished into a buttered roll, drowning in gravy with some mash, or sitting alongside a couple of fried eggs, these are the sausages you’ve been missing. They have the right seasoning, the right "pop," and enough heart to make any breakfast feel like a weekend in London or Joburg.

The freezer is stocked, but these tend to go fast once the weekend plans start forming. Get your order in now and make your breakfast something worth waking up for.

Let’s be honest… we’ve all eaten a pie over the sink with a glass of lukewarm water. But it’s Tuesday, and you’ve worked far too hard for that.

It’s time to give your dinner the respect it deserves. We’re talking about a proper South African pairing that makes your kitchen feel like a wine estate in Stellenbosch. Whether you’re leaning into the dark, smoky notes of a Pinotage or the crisp, "ice-cold or bust" vibe of a Chenin Blanc, we’ve got the handmade crust to match.

Upgrade your Tuesday. It’s basically a sommelier-level experience, without the pretentious tasting notes. Grab your pairing essentials on the website.

Archaeologists have found pots of honey in ancient Egyptian tombs over 3,000 years old, and it's still edible! Bacteria simply can't survive in it. Nature's perfect preservative.

Have you got a jar in the back of the cupboard that's been there since the move? Don't toss it. It's still good!

Disclaimer: While the honey itself might be immortal, we don't recommend testing this theory with that half-empty jar of jam at the back of your fridge. Most of our pantry staples have a slightly more "modern" timeline! If the honey looks suspect however, use your own judgement!

Are you a "check the date every time" person, or do you live dangerously and trust the "sniff test"?
