Family, farm and off-grid life 🌿🌄

Our spare bedroom is currently occupied by these 2 little fluff balls 😍

This was our first time attempting to hatch eggs in an incubator, and the result was these two little chicks. Watching new life coming into our world is always amazing 💛

Macaroon and Marshmallow are growing well, and we are excited for them to join the flock when they get a bit bigger.

There is magic in these little moments ✨️ We definitely have a wee shepherd in the making

We set up a couple of hammocks in the middle of our forest 💚 the perfect place to hang out and chill, listening to the birds, the water (and the odd snort from our pigs 😂)

This Summer of gardening has been mostly successful, endless supplies of peppers and tomatoes. There is definitely room for improvement on the potato and onion front, however our sweet potato plants are looking v healthy.

It's a blessing to shop for all fruit and veg from the garden, even if it’s just for part of the year. And we have the best little helper 💙

We have big plans to expand on what we grow over the next year ✨️

Who needs cartoons when you have chickens? 🐔

Billy has been with us for a few weeks now and Finn is absolutely fascinated by him 🤎

The simple things 💙

Project Sandy Mud Kitchen has definitely been a success 🙌

We repurposed various materials to create a sandpit beside our veggie garden so that Finn would have a place to play and explore while we work on the garden... and it's fair to say he loves it!

This boy loves to get messy 😂 and he is having so much fun playing with pots, pans, sticks, water, sand, flowers, and other treasures from around the land. (He does leave his station occasionally to pick and taste the strawberries growing nearby🍓 haha)

This year we have TONNES of apples 🍎 and have attempted to make c***r for the very first time.

We juiced the apples, added some yeast and are now waiting while fermentation takes place. We're considering also experimenting with a blackberry variation.

We're also enjoying fresh apple juice each morning, we've made apple pies 🥧, vinegar, chutney, and our animals are getting 2 full buckets of apples each day! Bear also enjoys chasing the apples - like edible tennis balls! Any other ideas? 😁
