For years, I thought I had to fix myself.
The panic attacks seemed to come out of nowhere. I didn’t understand why my body and mind felt so different, so I quietly blamed myself and often kept my struggles to myself.
Only much later did I discover that perimenopause can begin years before menopause, even while your periods are still regular. For some women, fluctuating hormones may contribute to symptoms like anxiety, panic attacks, brain fog, sleep disturbances, and mood changes.
Learning this changed everything for me.
Not because all the symptoms disappeared overnight, but because I finally realised:
There was nothing wrong with me.
That understanding brought relief, hope, and a desire to learn how I could better support my body.
At Nourish & Nosh, we believe that while we can’t stop hormonal change, we can nourish ourselves through it. Food, movement, sleep, stress management, and community all matter.
Over the next few weeks, I’ll be sharing what has helped me personally and what science is teaching us about thriving through this transition.
If this resonates with you, I’d love for you to follow along. And if you’ve ever felt like you were the only one going through it, please know:
💚 You are not alone.
