One final Colorado sunrise, and I’m reflecting on how much can change just by listening to our inner wisdom. Two years ago, I heard the whispering to go to Kripalu and had my first breath-led psychedelic journey with Grof Transpersonal Training…
That same day, for the first time in 20 years, my estranged mother reached out to me and my sisters after total separation by her own choosing.
God told her — through her cult leader — that it was “sinning to be in relationship with her family”. 😒🖕🏼👎🏼
Thank everything I’m not even close to being the same person I was then.
They say that when you heal yourself, that ripple goes out and shimmers those around you, who often begin their own journey of healing❤️🩹
After two years of pretty intense training (with still a bit of tinkering left around with my 3-hour music set😬), I just completed the final piece of my Holotropic Breathwork Facilitator Certification requirements — apprenticing at a week-long module with GTT!!🙌🏻
There’s still one more milestone ahead: the graduation intensive and ceremony, which will happen almost exactly one year from now
🎓🥳🎉
Even though I hear myself say “I’m done,”, it feels more like the For Real stuff is just beginning.
I’ll continue doing my own inner work while holding Breathwork experiences with Coastal Breathwork, continuing to learn how to be the best sitter I can be — for myself, for the people I sit with, and for the world around me.
One of the most profound shifts for me has been realizing that the triggers connected to my Complex-PTSD no longer hold the same charge. Fear and grief and pain don’t cripple me like they once did and my breaths feel deep and full and soft.
I don’t take that lightly.
There is so much appreciation I hold for my teachers, mentors, fellow travelers, and experiences — even the sh*tty moments — that brought me here.
It’s interesting to see how after two years of training to learn how to hold space for other people, I’m realizing that the lifelong practice is learning how to hold space for myself🤍
