Upgraded to the 3 bedroom villa at Hacienda Encantada was the best surprise! And it came with all-inclusive. That was worth the 4 hour sales presentation, for sure! 🫣

Ever wondered what life was really like on the frontier? 👀 🏡

I found out at the Frontier Culture Museum in Staunton, VA, where history isn’t just something you read about - it’s happening all around you! With historic buildings, hands-on experiences, and live interpreters who actually bring the stories to life, it feels like you’ve stepped right into the past. Did you know the concept of front porches were brought over by slaves in the 1700’s? I learned that right here!

And guess what? They’re expanding! A brand new indoor museum is scheduled to open in 2027, so there will be even more to explore.

Would you rather visit a museum where you look at history… or one where you actually experience it???

Trying out a new format for resort reports! Walking through a timeshare unit with you all this time. Usually I save these for stories but let me know if you like this format and I’ll keep doing them! Or not 😆

This is a 1 bedroom with a full kitchen at Woodstone Meadows in Massanutten, Virginia. The resort is massive with its own water park and ski resort. None of which is free or included though. While I love the rooms, I’m not a fan of how much everything is to enjoy. It could add up fast for a family! There are 3 pools and fitness centers that are included in the resort fee, which is $10 per day per bedroom. Pricey, in my opinion. What do you think? Would you stay here?

Spent 36 glorious hours in NYC. And honestly, that was enough for me. 😂 I think NYC is best explored during the holidays. When it’s cooler, and doesn’t smell. Because let’s face it, it’s a fascinating and spectacular city but is the dirtiest city I’ve ever been in.

I got all the classic foods: bagel, pizza, Chinatown dumplings… I toured Trinity Church and saw Alexander Hamilton’s grave. I went to 9/11 memorial (which I’ve never done). I took a boat cruise around the entire island of Manhattan. That was fascinating. Who knew how rugged the island was on its north peak? I saw a Broadway play and Times Square.

Have you been to NYC yet? I highly recommend experiencing it at least once. It’s such a melting pot of cultures. A true reflection of how the United States got its start.

If you’ve only got one day in NYC? Make the Circle Line Cruises cruise your first stop! Seeing the Statue of Liberty, Brooklyn Bridge, and the Manhattan skyline from the water is the best way to fall in love with the city. ❤️

Pro tip: the best views of New York aren’t on the streets - they’re from the harbor.
