AliRa Recruitment is recruiting for its client, an European agribusiness company and producer of crop protection products, currently in a strong expansion phase, for the position of Country Sales Manager / Business Developer, responsible for developing and strengthening the company’s presence in the Republic of Moldova.
Role:
The Country Sales Manager / Business Developer is responsible for developing Company's business, by building and developing relationships with local trading partners, implementing the company's product offering, and implementing the company's sales strategy within the allocated territory.
Main tasks:
• Develop and implement the commercial plan for the Republic of Moldova market, in line with the Group strategy, with direct reporting to the General Manager Romania ;
• Analyse market potential, identify development opportunities, and recommend expansion directions;
• Develop and implement the commercial strategy for the Republic of Moldova market, with a focus on increasing visibility and sales of the crop protection portfolio;
• Build and develop strong business relationships with local distributors, while expanding the customer network at farm level;
• Role with a strong business development component, involving the identification of new opportunities and active contribution to market growth;
• Autonomous position, with no team management responsibilities, and full responsibility for local commercial performance;
• Close collaboration with the management team in Romania, in line with the regional strategy.
Profile:
• Solid experience in agribusiness sales, preferably within the crop protection segment
• Good knowledge of the Republic of Moldova agribusiness market (experience working with distributors or trading partners)
• University degree in Agronomy or a related field is considered an advantage
• Valid driving license (Category B) and availability for frequent field travel
• Good level of English
• Strong commercial mindset, with a focus on business development
• Strong negotiation and influencing skills, adaptable to different stakeholders
• Strategic thinking combined with a practical, results-oriented approach
• High level of autonomy, proactivity, and decision-making ability in a developing market environment
• Ability to analyses and interpret commercial and market data
• Ability to work strategically and operationally simultaneously.
Responsibilities:
• Conducting commercial negotiations (terms of cooperation, offers, volumes) ;
• Collaborating with the registration department on product introductions in local markets (from the business perspective) ;
• Coordinating marketing and sales activities related to product launches ;
• Monitoring competitive activity and market trends ;
• Monitoring the achievement of sales goals and ongoing analysis of results ;
• Track results and contribute to budgeting and planning, in coordination with the Romanian management team ;
• Develop and strengthen relationships with distributors and key clients ;
• Identify growth opportunities and adapt the commercial strategy based on market dynamics ;
• Promote the product portfolio and support commercial activities at farm level ;
• Represent the company in the market and participate in industry events ;
• Provide regular reporting on activities and results to the General Manager Romania.
