🇮🇸✨ Love Surströ made it to Iceland...
One of the things we love most about this journey is the incredible community we've become part of.
A huge thank you to Victor , who brought our Swedish Umami Salt with him to Iceland Innovation Week this April and shared it with curious food enthusiasts. 💛
Moments like these remind us why collaboration is so important. As small food producers, we can achieve so much more together than we ever could alone. We've been lucky to become part of amazing communities of food innovators, both in Stockholm through and in Norrbotten through . These networks have opened doors, created friendships, and shown us the power of supporting one another.
There are so many fantastic food producers across Sweden, all working hard to bring unique flavours and traditions to life. We believe the future isn't about competing against each other—it's about collaborating, sharing knowledge, and growing together.
After all, we're all about spreading the Love. We hope you are too. 💛
And speaking of Iceland...
Did you know that Iceland has a long history of fermented foods? One of its most famous delicacies is Hákarl—fermented shark that is cured and air-dried for months, developing a pungent aroma and a famously acquired taste.
Sound familiar? 😄
Perhaps Sweden and Iceland have more in common than we thought. Two Nordic countries, two bold fermentation traditions, and two foods that challenge expectations while telling a story of culture, history, and flavour.
Maybe Swedish Umami was always meant to visit Iceland. 🇸🇪🤝🇮🇸
