Couldn't wait to dig in yesterday to this almond chocolate cake with chocolate coconut ganache and then slightly regretted when I finished my second slice 🤭 this cake may not be the prettiest but I dare say it's one of the yummiest gluten and dairy free cakes! Also I love how easy it is such that it can be made within bub's nap time 😂

The husband made his cake request early last year for a 'Nutella and Kinder bueno' chocolate cake. This little number was stuffed with alternating layers of Kinder Bueno, cake, Swiss meringue buttercream and Nutella. Boy was it sweet! Probably provided enough sugar for all the new parenting we have been doing 😂

Now I have to adapt to baking in hourly intervals as bub does her cat naps.🤷🏻‍♀️

A special request for a father's day cake! What an awesome combination of mango and strawberries! I'm always a bit wary of fruit as we can't guarantee sweetness until you actually try then. Thankfully the Thai honey mango and strawberries were actually quite sweet this time!

A chocolate and lemon entremet for the mum's birthday this week using 61% couverture and their ready made decorations that just bring the final product to the next level!

And of course, since I was making a big entremet, I had to make a few minis for taste-testing before our family dinner 😬 who doesn't love previews right?

Chocolate mousse with a lemon cremeux, lemon genoise, salted caramel and crispy chocolate balls for that crunch!

We were really fond of the mild nutty notes of the chocolate in that mousse. Great balance and it wasn't too sweet at all!

Another one from the weekend! A special MASSIVE thank you dessert gift box, that had assorted macarons, miso caramel tarts and the underrated Medovnik.

The husband opened the fridge and saw the honey cake and was super excited, but then I told him that there weren't any spares and he pulled the most pitiful face ☹️ good thing I had some trimmings for him!
