~ 忆咖啡1915 ~
We spent 4 hours at the Eastern Suburb Memory (东郊记忆）yesterday and we totally loved the vibes there.
Lunch was at 忆咖啡1915, a cafe at the famous decommissioned train. Besides many photo spots, the menu is extensive, ranging from main meals to high teas.
We opted for a combo meal for 3-4 and it was affordable. We had 2 steak, 1 roast chicken, 2 pastas , 1 snack platter and 2 drinks at only 207 yuan.
The quality of the food is decent but the vibes are are good. Do check this place out the next time you visit this area.

~ Lego Flagship Store Chengdu Chapter ~
We walked past and the Simlets said 'Let's go in and take a look. The Lego shop looks HUGE!'
I guess no harm and we ended up spending more than an hour there. The store is duplex with an extensive Lego collection.
The in-store installations are amazing. Many photo opprtunities. Its a pity they are not for sale.

You really have to check out the mini lego factory. At 99 yen, you get to customize your own figurine torso. This is soo cool.
Fresh from the wushu training, Simlet 2 made himself into an wushu master wearing a basketball jersey.
I conclude that the China lego stores are one level up. If you are around the city area, you have to check it out.

I made an easy open-face wagyu burger last week for a brunch at home.
The star of today's meal is the Yakiniku Wagyu Chuck Roll from Mie Gyoren Seafood.
Mie Gyoren is an online grocer delivering fresh seafood and wagyu beef from Japan. The range of Japanese fish is good and so is the quality of the Wagyu beef. I used minimal seasonings and the meal still tasted great.

Holiday calls for a celebration and no better way to do it than with a catered meal from Belly Good.
We ordered in the Western Party set for 6. Every dish arrived nicely plated in a disposable container. We chose the DIY laksa option within the set and it was fun assembling and eating it.
The dishes tasted good, not overly oily and salty. You won't expect anything less from TungLok Group halal catering arm.

~ Samurai's Beef ~
I took a chance to venture out to the city because I really wanted to try Samurai's Beef (武士的牛), Chengdu's first Wagyu Yakiniku Restaurant.
We took the Value Set for 2 and it was worth it. It comes with:
🐟 Danish Sashimi
🐮 Wagyu Beef platter
🥬 Cabbage Salad
🦆 Foie Gras Onigiri
🐮 Wagyu Fried Rice

Soup and dessert. The marbling of the meat in the platter is good. Some of the meat is marinated on the spot andn grilled to perfection.
The ambience here is very nice. Quiet and classy. While the beef cut here is slightly chewy, the taste is good.

Hopping on the with the Simlets' first and only brunch in Chengdu.

They have come to the land of Mount Ermei to level up their wushu skills.
If you ever find yourselves in the City of 威远 , this cafe #慢象咖啡 (mammut cafe & cake) is a nice 4-storey bakery and cafe to spend some hours away.
Places to spend some time in Singapore with the kids were intentionally covered and saved in the Highlights (June Holidays) on IG.
As for the Food Jutsu trend, there are plenty of tutorials to try this yourselves.
For the next 10 days, I probably have plenty of
'happy hours' to venture the outskirts of Chengdu.

I finally get hype why Sushi Zushi packs a crowd everyday. The sashimi is fresh and the sushi is freshly prepared by the skilful chefs in front of counters. The selection is huge too.
Kids can enjoy a sumptuous meal which is loaded with ingredients at only $8.99.
Come by for the sushi madness with selected items at $1. Enjoy other premium handrolls at 1 for 1.
It wouldn't be the last time I travelled to the West for Sushi Zushi.
