This matcha pistachio cream book cake was handcrafted from circular layers, carved and stacked into a shape that tells a story.

Still waiting on the taste test verdictโ€”but visually, this oneโ€™s already a chapter worth remembering.

First attempt at Kek Lapis Anyaman (Weaved Layered Cake)!

It may not be the most polished version, but Iโ€™m pretty proud of how it turned out โ€” weaving those delicate cake slices was no joke! The most important part? It tastes absolutely delicious.

For those wondering โ€” yes, it still involves 26 egg yolks, two separate batters, and layer-by-layer bakingโ€ฆ and then I decided to make it even harder by weaving the top just for fun!
