Oak barrels are an important component in wine making. It wields a great deal of influence in determining the profile of the wine.

From the level of toast 🔥 in imparting vanilla flavors, to the width grain which helps to accelerate the oxidation of wines. (Did you know 💡: tighter grain, allows more oxygen)

Climate change has impacted quality of tree barks, and the amount of 🌳 available has reduced. It is no wonder winemakers are fighting for allocation of sections of 🌳 to be used in coopers.
