One of South Africa's Oldest Wineries : Spier Wine Farm

Before Singapore had a skyline, South Africa was already making wine.
This is the story of Spier, founded in 1692 and what it tells us about one of the oldest wine cultures in the New World.

In 1692, Governor Simon van der Stel granted the first title deed of Spier to Arnoud Jansz, establishing one of Stellenbosch's very first wine farms.
Within decades, over 30,000 vines flourished on the estate and in 1767, a wine cellar was built that remains the oldest dated cellar still in use in South Africa.

Ancient oaks planted in 1682 still stand over the gardens. Twenty-one Cape Dutch gables, more than any other farm in the country, still define the landscape.
And the wine? Still flowing. Still exceptional. Still telling a story that most of the world has barely discovered.

South African wine isn't young. It has three centuries of history, craft and evolution behind it and Spier is one of its greatest living chapters.

We are proud to bring these wines to Singapore. And this is only the beginning of the story.

The Wine Safari May Edition brought South Africa's coolest corner to the table and the response blew us away.

Dozens of guests who walked in not knowing what to expect and walked out with a new favourite wine country.
