Back in Beaujolais, one of our favourite winemaking region in France. This time with Sylvère and Mathilde of Séléné to taste their old vine gamay, cuvée Gisous. One which they do not make every year and is only available in magnums.

At the height of harvest 2025, we didn’t manage to find a freed up vehicle to do our filming amidst the harvest rush but we did have a great time catching up with Chao over at the winery over a bottle of Poil de Lievre 2024.

Poil de Lievre is refreshing, with a great burst of fruit, as Chao puts it, it’s perfect to have with grilled skewers.

Change is always difficult but often necessary, Fabrice tells us a little bit more about how Ormiale 2021 is definitely a huge change in Ormiale’s journey with many firsts.

Ormiale 2021, shows much more elegance than previous vintages hinting that instead of fighting climate change, Fabrice embraces the change.

They might be new but we’re already loving their modern approach to wines.

🍾 Pigments 2023
Sparkling Blanc de Noirs from Pineau d’Aunis. Crunchy red fruit, a little white pepper. Having gone through a second fermentation this isn’t your average pet-nat this is Loire freshness in a fizzy, joyful package.

🥂 Toponyme 2023
Made from 100% Chenin Blanc from Montlouis sur Loire. Crisp apple, chalky minerality, and a saline finish. Perfect for lovers of razor-sharp, elegant Loire whites.

🍷 Jalon 2023
100% Grolleau, light, translucent, and peppery. Best served chilled, this is a red wine made for picnics, laughter, and long evenings.
