Since 2007 Anton has been making preservative free wines. In the last couple of years, the winery has been working on reducing VA, Mousiness, lacticobacillis fermentation in the bottle. His wines are getting better and better year by year and super stoked to be able to get a couple of bottles of his new release.

The World of Wine is Coming to an End
Global wine consumption has been decreasing since 2015 and the peak of this decline was in 2024 right after the euphoria of the world opening up post-Covid19. At this rate we are going and moving, the industry will be in dire straits unless more is done in unison. This is not a laughing matter as many adjacent industries will also be affected and thus causing a whole eco-system to move into gradual demise.
First to know why so that we can know how to help

1. Overconsumption of alcohol during Covid-19. The lock downs globally spurred a massive increase in all categories of alcohol during 2021-2022. People drank for the sake of drinking and whenever they were bored. Some people came up with the notion of “wanting to be able to go out again to stop alcoholism”
2. Millennials aging and getting more responsibilities at home and at work contributed to the decline of consumption. Millennials(1981-1993) are currently the generation with the highest alcohol consumption and the fact that work and family responisbilities call, does not allow them to continuously contribute to those numbers
3. As the health of the Millennials deteriorate, hangovers get harder to cure and backaches seep in after standing at the pub for too many hours. Many are prone to spend like time drinking and to drink less/earlier to prevent nagging pains the next morning
4. The feckless Gen Zs are NOT naturally replacing the previous generation. With the rise of healthy living and clean eating and sporting fad phases like Hydrox etc steered them away from alcohol drinking. And coupled by the fact that many have lower paying jobs or are not in full time employment, do not allow them to splurge on consumption

Wine is not just a drink, it supports an entire ecosystem from agriculture to manufacturing to logistics and freight-forwarding to food and beverage to import/export to tourism. When you stop drinking wine these industries all feel it.

Fruit from ningxia. The power house of the range think Oregon style with, central otago vibe
