TANTAKA ROSÉ 2023🌸 This is the best Txakoli rosé we’ve ever tasted.

We first tasted this wine during our visit to Tantaka with Juanjo Tellaetxe last February, and we’ve been excited for it to arrive in Singapore ever since.

A 100% Hondarrabi Beltza, made as a true single-varietal rosé. Free-run juice, destemmed and gently pressed (maximum 58%) using a horizontal pneumatic press. Fermented in 1,000-litre stainless steel tanks, then aged for 5 months on fine lees.

In fact, it wasn’t even supposed to be a rosé. As Juanjo puts it: “I wanted to make a white wine with red wine, but when I put it in the destemmer it took on a color, and in the end I made a rosé without intending to. It’s turned out quite decent, I think.”

“Quite decent” feels like a serious understatement.

Some encounters in Barcelona simply stay with you.

We met Sergi Canals of Cisteller and tasted through his wines last February, and from the very first sip, we were drawn to the precision and clarity of his work together with Jessica Madigan.

What impressed us most is the purity and definition across the range. There is a real sense of focus in the wines, with refined texture, tension, and an expression of Penedès that feels both precise and alive.

Cisteller works across both Corpinnat and gastronomic still whites, two interpretations of the same philosophy: vineyard-driven, detail-oriented, and built on patience and intent. Whether sparkling or still, the wines share the same line of energy and finesse.

A young project with a clear sense of identity and direction defined by precision, craftsmanship, and a deep respect for place.

The wines will be available in Singapore next week as a pre-arrival release. 🍷
