Some evenings just have a certain energy ✨

I’ve been part of SSEW for many years now, long before it became what it is today and it’s been incredible to watch it grow into such a warm, connected space for women in Singapore.

A lot of that comes down to Anju. The way she brings people together feels effortless, but you can tell it’s anything but.

This cake was created for one of those evenings, bold, confident, and just a little bit playful. (Very SSEW, if you ask me.)

And somewhere between the cake cutting and the music, someone genuinely thought I was the professional Latin dancer hired to get everyone onto the dance floor… 💃🏻

I’m still not sure if I should be flattered or concerned.

But honestly, that’s exactly the kind of night it was.

Beautiful, a little unexpected, and full of life.

Thirty years of Pokémon.

Some themes don’t fade. They grow up with us.

From the parents who played on Game Boys to the children now choosing their favourite starter, Pokémon has quietly become multi-generational.

These cakes celebrate that.

Level 6.
Level 7.
Level 10.

Different birthdays. Same legacy.

Pikachu still stealing the spotlight. Pokéballs still iconic. And somehow, three decades later, it still feels just as exciting.

Nostalgia, but refined.
Childhood, but designed properly.

A little behind the scenes Sunday moment ✨

Just a bowl of ganache, gently melting and swirling into that silky, glossy finish.

There’s something oddly satisfying about watching ganache come together exactly as it should.

No shortcuts. Just patience and craft in motion.

Because when Sunday is done right, Monday feels a little easier 🤍

Renuka.

She is somebody’s Nani.
She is somebody’s Mum.
She is somebody’s Baby.

Three relationships. One person.

What I loved most about creating this cake was the colour. It’s that Kashmiri chai pink. A very soft tea shade that reminds me of India, of its architecture, of warmth.

Her daughter told me that her mum loves Indian prints and florals. I fell in love with this print instantly. That very Indian pink, layered with delicate flowers, felt exactly right.

The colour was inspired by the Taj Mahal, that soft stone warmth that isn’t stark, just quietly elegant.

Soft colour. Strong story.
That’s what this cake is about 🌸✨
