Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Arrives in Conakry, Guinea for Diplomatic Engagement

Conakry, Guinea — 26th February 2026 — His Excellency Alhaji Musa Timothy Kabba, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, has today led a high-level diplomatic delegation from the Republic of Sierra Leone to the Republic of Guinea.

The delegation departed Freetown on a special diplomatic mission to engage the Guinean authorities on the matter of Sierra Leonean security personnel who were arrested in the border area between Falaba District and the Republic of Guinea.

This mission outlines the Government’s strong commitment to a peaceful and amicable resolution of the issue through established diplomatic channels, while upholding the strong fraternal and neighbourly relations that exist between the two sister republics.

No outcome has been reached at this stage. Further updates will be issued in due course as the mission progresses.
