If IKEA decided to open a restaurant, there's a good chance it would look something like Suki Teenoi.
A favourite of Mam's brother and sister-in-law, the family headed out for an evening at one of Thailand's most popular buffet chains. The concept is simple: join the queue, wait for your table, then enter a highly efficient operation that gets diners in, fed, and out again with impressive speed.
Free drinks and snacks are included, and much of the food is delivered by one of the restaurant's friendly serving robots. Watching a robot glide across the restaurant carrying plates of food never really gets old.
Once seated, the ordering began. And then it kept going.
Soon the table was covered with trays of thinly sliced meats, vegetables, shrimp, cheese, jellyfish and just about everything else that could be dropped into a bubbling hotpot. The food is cooked in a broth at the centre of the table, with everyone adding ingredients and cooking their own meal.
Now, this is where opinions in our family differ.
Mam absolutely loves it. For her, the cooking is all part of the fun. For me, it's a bit like paying someone to let me do their job. I came here to eat dinner, not prepare it. Still, I have to admit the food is tasty, the atmosphere is lively, and there's something enjoyable about everyone sharing the same pot and chatting while things cook.
The amount of food was staggering. Despite six of us eating, we still struggled to finish everything we'd ordered. For the quantity and variety available, the value is difficult to argue with.
The final bill came to just 2,035 baht for six people, making it one of the more affordable family meals you'll find in Thailand.
Verdict
Matt Score: 7/10
Good food, excellent value and plenty of choice. I'd score it higher if someone else did the cooking.
Mam Score: 8/10
She loves the interactive cooking experience and would happily spend all evening around the hotpot.
Winner: Mam. She enjoys cooking her dinner. I prefer mine to arrive fully assembled.
Would we go again? Every other month. It's become one of those reliable family favourites.
Worth the baht? Definitely. Feeding six people this much food for 2,035 baht is hard to complain about, especially when everyone leaves full.

ซูกิทีนอยเป็นร้านโปรดของพี่ชายและพี่สะใภ้ของแม่ ครอบครัวของแม่จึงออกไปทานอาหารเย็นที่ร้านบุฟเฟ่ต์ชื่อดังแห่งหนึ่งของไทย คอนเซ็ปต์ของร้านนั้นเรียบง่าย คือ ต่อแถวรอโต๊ะ แล้วเข้าไปในระบบการบริการที่มีประสิทธิภาพสูง ที่ให้บริการลูกค้าได้อย่างรวดเร็ว
มีเครื่องดื่มและของว่างฟรี และอาหารส่วนใหญ่จะถูกเสิร์ฟโดยหุ่นยนต์เสิร์ฟอาหารที่เป็นมิตรของร้าน การได้เห็นหุ่นยนต์เดินไปมาในร้านพร้อมจานอาหารนั้นไม่เคยน่าเบื่อเลย
เมื่อได้ที่นั่งแล้ว การสั่งอาหารก็เริ่มต้นขึ้น และก็ดำเนินต่อไปเรื่อยๆ
ไม่นานโต๊ะก็เต็มไปด้วยถาดเนื้อสัตว์หั่นบางๆ ผัก กุ้ง ชีส แมงกะพรุน และแทบทุกอย่างที่สามารถใส่ลงไปในหม้อไฟได้ อาหารจะถูกปรุงในน้ำซุปที่อยู่กลางโต๊ะ โดยทุกคนจะใส่ส่วนผสมและปรุงอาหารของตัวเอง
ทีนี้ ความเห็นในครอบครัวเราก็ต่างกันตรงนี้แหละ
แม่ชอบมาก ๆ สำหรับแม่ การทำอาหารเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของความสนุก ส่วนผม มันเหมือนกับการจ้างคนอื่นมาทำงานแทน ผมมาที่นี่เพื่อกินข้าวเย็น ไม่ใช่มาทำอาหารเอง แต่ก็ต้องยอมรับว่าอาหารอร่อย บรรยากาศครึกครื้น และมันก็สนุกดีที่ทุกคนได้ใช้หม้อเดียวกัน คุยกันไปเรื่อย ๆ ระหว่างที่อาหารกำลังปรุง
ปริมาณอาหารเยอะมาก แม้จะมีกันหกคน ก็ยังกินไม่หมด แต่ด้วยปริมาณและความหลากหลายที่มี ถือว่าคุ้มค่ามาก ๆ
บิลทั้งหมดแค่ 2,035 บาท สำหรับหกคน ทำให้เป็นหนึ่งในมื้ออาหารสำหรับครอบครัวที่ราคาไม่แพงมากนักในประเทศไทย

จะไปอีกไหม? ทุกๆ สองเดือน มันกลายเป็นหนึ่งในร้านโปรดของครอบครัวที่ไว้ใจได้
คุ้มค่ากับราคาไหม? แน่นอน การเลี้ยงอาหารหกคนได้มากขนาดนี้ในราคา 2,035 บาท ถือว่าคุ้มค่ามาก โดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่งเมื่อทุกคนอิ่มท้องกลับบ้าน
