satisfied, rejuvenated, light and energetic. What is raw food ? A raw food diet consists of unprocessed, raw plant foods that have not been
heated above 40 °C (104 °F). Heating food above 40 degrees kills the precious enzymes in food,
reduces the nutrients and vitamins, and changes the metabolic structure of our
food. Enzymes are the life force of a food, helping us to digest food and absorb
nutrients. If we overconsume cooked food, our bodies are forced to work harder
by producing more enzymes. Over time, a lack of enzymes from food will contribute to digestive problems,
nutrient deficiency, accelerated aging, and weight gain.
