Luscious Lemon Garlic Chicken with Herbed Rice 🍋🍗🌿

🛒 Ingredients:
For the Chicken:
4 chicken breast fillets 🐔
1 tbsp olive oil 🫒
1 tsp garlic powder 🧄
1/2 tsp onion powder
Salt & pepper to taste 🧂
For the Creamy Lemon Garlic Sauce:
2 tbsp butter 🧈
3 garlic cloves, minced 🧄
200 ml heavy cream 🥛
Juice of 1 lemon 🍋
1 tsp Dijon mustard
2 tbsp chopped parsley 🌿
Salt & pepper to taste 🧂
For the Herbed Rice:
1 cup basmati or long grain rice 🍚
2 cups water
1 tbsp butter 🧈
Salt to taste
1 tbsp chopped parsley or dill 🌿
👨🍳 Instructions:
Cook the rice in salted water with butter until fluffy, then stir in chopped herbs. While the rice cooks, season the chicken with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper, and sear in olive oil over medium heat for about 5 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside. In the same pan, melt butter, sauté garlic, then pour in cream, lemon juice, mustard, and season to taste. Simmer until slightly thickened. Return chicken to the pan and coat with the sauce. Serve with herbed rice and garnish with lemon wedges and parsley.
