1. The Alchemist Kitchen & Bar – On Tuesdays, for Shs.30,000, you get a taco meal plus a tequila cocktail of your choice. A solid deal if you’re craving something quick, flavorful, and fun

2. Kardamom & Koffee – Such a serene space, perfect for intimate catch-ups, work meetings, or a relaxed all-day breakfast with healthy options

3. The Great Indian Dhaba – Their food combos are generous, flavorful, and quite affordable. A great spot when you're craving comforting Indian cuisine

Endiro Coffee is always a perfect stop whenever I’m on a journey. Fresh snacks, great coffee, and the kind of place that makes every trip feel a little better. If there’s an Endiro along my route, I’m definitely stopping by

What’s your go-to stop when you’re traveling?

Sol Restaurant is located on Upper Kololo Terrace (just opposite the turn-off to Torino), I finally ticked Sol off my list. I’ll admit it, I went in mostly for the complimentary bread I’ve seen all over my feed! 😅

As we browsed through the menu, I loved how diverse it was. They offer premium quality cuts (which I’m definitely coming back to explore properly next time✨️), but I finally settled on their glazed pork ribs😌

One thing I really appreciated is how inclusive their menu is, with several vegetarian options clearly marked with a “V” for easy spotting 👌🏾

Before the mains arrived, they served complimentary focaccia bread and oh my goodness 😮‍💨 it was fresh, warm, crunchy on the outside, soft and buttery on the inside. The kind of bread you keep reaching for without even realising it

When the ribs arrived, first impressions? Generous portion and looking absolutely delicious. Taste-wise? Did not disappoint. Savoury, sweet, smoky, and the meat was so tender it practically fell apart with every cut

The ambiance is beautifully balanced, the indoor seating feels like a fine dining experience, while the outdoor space is more relaxed and casual, perfect depending on the mood you’re going for

🚗 Pro-Tip: Parking is free but tight! Get there early during peak hours

I’d definitely recommend you check out Sol Restaurant if you’re in Kololo

The Damage:
Glazed pork ribs — 55,000 UGX
Menu range — 32,000 to 195,000 UGX

Are you looking for a calm, inspiring working space right in the heart of the city, somewhere you can focus, host a meeting, or simply escape the noise? Let me introduce you to The Knorth

I’ve been to Tavola a few times, but somehow I had never noticed the different spaces they have to offer

The Knorth is one of their gems: a thoughtfully designed spot created specifically for people who want to work away from home or the office

From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is calm, quiet, and beautifully put together. It’s the kind of space that immediately makes you want to open your laptop, order a coffee, and get things done

Their menu leans heavily toward healthy, wholesome meals...think nourishing dishes, fresh juices, and energising options that keep you going during a long work session. Whether you want a light coffee break or a full lunch that refreshes your body, they’ve got you

Just a heads-up, because they’re fully committed to a healthy menu, you won’t find sodas or fizzy drinks here, but their fresh juices and teas more than make up for it

I genuinely loved the space, the next time I’m working away from home, I don’t think I’ll go anywhere else… unless you have suggestions you think can compete! But for now, The Knorth is officially the place to be

It’s been a solid minute since a pizza made me pause mid-bite and actually appreciate it… but Tehilla’s monster pizza decided to restore standards. Generously topped, unapologetically cheesy, flavourful and genuinely unforgettable

And because good things clearly come in pairs, today they’re running a buy 1 at 40k, get 1 free offer. I’ve told you early enough, now kindly go summon the gang💃🏾😅

Price: Shs.40,000

The Choate ✨ An urban welcome done right

From the moment you step in, everything about The Choate sets the mood instantly; a warm, polished welcome that feels intentional

Tucked inside Kampala Club, Nakasero, it’s that easy-to-access city spot with ample parking and a calm, mature ambience perfect for unwinding or catching up over good conversation

Except Thursdays, when the live jazz band (7 pm –10 pm) brings the place to life with just the right dose of midweek rhythm 🎷

A refined, adult space made for slowing down and enjoying the moment
