April is finally here! Grandchild due on the 23rd, my b-day on the 24th, baby chicks and turkeys coming on the 26th, and 2 Sebastopol goose eggs in the incubator due May 2. Add in the milking girls soon to be plopping out baby goats! I’m so excited!

It’s apple season! Applesauce and juice production is in full swing in the kitchen right now.

Rainy August days are perfect for canning that abundance of harvest in the late summer. I’ve finished the honey, dill pickles, green beans, and pickled beets. Interrupted by fresh salsa. Everything but the salt was grown and processed here at the farm.

The grays harbor county fair was a great success. We loved seeing all of the interaction with the animals. Holi was very popular.
