We have our pasture raised heritage pork for sale at Heart Pine Homestead in Beech Island, SC, Sudlow Charm Boutique and Mercantile in Graniteville, SC and Augusta Locally Grown in Augusta, GA. We are currently selling ground breakfast sausage (mild, maple), pork chops (1-1/2" thick bone-in) and Bratwurst Links (Bratwurst, Italian, Hot Italian, Cajun). These pigs are born and raised on our small scale family farm in Aiken, SC. This meat was processed at a USDA facility in North Carolina (Wells, Jenkins and Wells). Reach out to these fantastic local retailers or contact me directly to coordinate purchase!

Taking orders now for whole pigs in September.

$6.50 / # (Hanging Weight). $100 deposit. This price includes basic processing by Steve's Quality Processing in New Ellenton OR the prepared for BBQ Grill (hair removed) by Lee's Sausage Company in Orangeburg. Free local delivery, or a minimal fee to deliver outside the general Aiken area. Free Delivery to Savannah Lake Village can be coordinated!

A typical pig costs $800 and produces about 115 # of meat. Price varies based on the weight of the animal you purchase.

If interested in different processing options, we can potentially accommodate processing at Back 40 Butchery, Vaughn Packing Company or Georgia's Best Processing. These USDA approved facilities have higher processing fees, but offer great options such as cured hams and cured/smoked bacon!

We are a small family farm near Silver Bluff High School and our Idaho Pasture Pigs are born on our farm and raised humanely on pasture and wooded lots the old fashioned way! Want to see where your meat comes from, contact us to arrange a farm visit to see for yourself!

We want to thank Sam Wyatt and Duvall Cardwell for the farm visit and considering Short Family Farm for the USDA-NRCS cost sharing program. We appreciate the knowledge shared and the opportunity to further develop our infrastructure with your department's support.

While we're focused on animal quality of life, for our farm, that simply can't occur without a regenerative management practice that results in healthy soil and pasture. We look forward to continuing to work with USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service to make this part of our vision a reality.

Our first Dexter Bull went to the processor today. We are happy that this animal is going into our neighbor's freezer to provide their family with locally sourced high quality beef. Our chief inspector determined the bull had an ideal body condition and speculates nothing less than PRIME quality cuts coming back from the processor :)

A special thank you to our neighbor, Steve from Steve's Quality Processing, for the service you provide to local small scale farmers outside of deer season; we appreciate the all the hard work you do for us.
