We got a bunch of free pumpkins today. We filled the mini van twice 😆 I don’t have time to gut them for seeds before giving to livestock until Sunday so the kids set out to decorate around the house. It may scream pumpkin overload, but it was fun! We then had fun burning some boxes and downed limbs to end our night.

Mullein Tincture aka nature’s Mucinex.
A natural remedy to those nasty cold and flu coughs. Dissolve under the tongue or add to your favorite beverage when you need some cough and lung support.

Lavender Tincture
Best used at bedtime to promote sleep and relaxation. May also benefit anxiety and stress as well as headaches. This tincture can also be used as a floral flavoring when cooking.

We usually don’t post new products on Sundays, because the day is for God and family. I am so very excited to announce these two new products… 😃 😍

However, we all will have to wait just one more day!! 😔 😢

Alright friends what are we making for dinners this upcoming week? I need some new ideas. We are getting burnt out on the same things. We have every cut and type of beef, pork, and chicken. I am not an expert chef lol

We left the farm and ventured to the “big city” of Indianapolis today to watch our two little boys play flag football at Lucas Oil Stadium. 🤣
They were quite impressed with the traffic and sky scrapers. Cecily said she could not believe she used to live by there and does not like the city. 🏙️
As soon as we got home, my two oldest got out the go cart their grandpa and GiGi got them and road for over an hour all over the property.
It was nice to see parts of Carmel, go back to the restaurant Jack and I met at, and spend time with one of Jack’s best friends, but we would choose this farm life every single time.
Now to wait for my pressure canners to come back to natural pressure so we can rest up before church tomorrow. We will be fully stocked up on beef bone broth for quite some time. 🤩 🥩

You already know it. I hate spiders!! 🕷️

Every October aka spider season I seriously contemplate life choices.
The other night Jack killed a massive spider in the house.
I said, “I just can’t live like this. I just can’t live my life like this.”
Dramatic? Yes! Was I being serious? Kind of 🤷🏻‍♀️
He replied, “Well babe, it’s part of living on a farm.”

That made me really stop and think about all the life choices that each of us made to get where we are today. He grew up in Chicago and I grew up with no farming/homesteading background. We moved several times in our marriage to finally settle on our little homestead. We love the land! We love the small farm! We love the area! We love the people! We are closer to God now more than ever! It took years for us to really find what was important to each of us and our family.

Can I “live like this” through spider season? Yes! Will I hate every single critter I see crawling in my house and cringe knowing they are there even when I can’t see them? Yes! However, I wouldn’t change this journey and these choices we have made for anything.

We have several new items this month with quite a few of the new items available in 1/4 pints.

For those that are new to our page. We appreciate you! You can order simply by messaging us here. We are back and forth on whether an official website is worth it.

All jams, jellies, and miscellaneous items besides redhot applesauce are available as 1/2 pint for $5 and 1/4 pint for $3 while supplies lasts. Redhot applesauce is $6 for 1 pint.

Check out our tea menu to pair nicely with your canned items. Don’t forget our new tea: Cough Tea and stock up before this cold season hits hard.
