The Premium Cigar Association trade show was this past weekend. This is the only place a new brand can get in front of a thousand cigar retailers and have a chance to get a few of them engaged.

My friend Carlos, who I had only known from many hours of conversation on Discord video chat and never met in person, agreed to help me at my booth. Carlos stood with me every minute of the past weekend, offering the best support I could ever ask for.

Building a small company isn’t easy. Building one based in a passion for a boutique product with a small audience isn’t just hard, it’s nearly ridiculous. But with the help of a few supportive people, maybe it’s possible. Carlos is one of those people who is genuinely generous.

Abbina will now be in at least 25 new retail locations soon. That is only because my friend Carlos helped me through this crazy trade show, offering the “coolest thing” at the show, according to Halfwheel.
