When you get the bed to yourself 😆
Last Nubian kid arrived earlier today. I wanted boys so we got a single doe, go figure!
Ending total is 9 does and 10 bucks. Now we wait on the one and only Oberhasli mid February.
Ok, my local (northern Indiana). Nubian breeder friends! I’ve had several people reach out looking for wethers and we are sold out and already starting our list for next year. If you have wethers or will here pretty soon and would like for me to pass on your Information let me know! please add your location.
I typically don’t shave udders until it gets warm and stays warm but I’m liking what I’m seeing so far from these first freshening 2 year olds.

***on hold*** Doe looking for a new place. Born January 1st.
I will have a few more available once I make some choices. Pm for more info.
Wether picking is proving difficult this year!
Todays ending total is 7! Zuma started it off with giant buck/ doe twins. Right after was Skittles who is a first freshener had triplets, 2 does and a buck and before she was finished Zecora had twin does. Does are catching up 9 bucks and 7 does. 2 Nubians to go and the Oberhasli next month and we’re done!
Gotta love when 3 does go into labor back to back to back 😮💨
I think we have a break today so figured I’d give a kid update. We had our first ever set of quads from Tilly, all boys 🙄. Lacey gave us nice big triplets, 2 bucks and a doe and Zipper gave us buck/doe twins. That’s 7 bucks and 2 does so far. Hayley has already picked a favorite luckily it’s a doe. All of these kids are from black does so they are definitely taking after dad this year. We are loving our first “Wingwood Farm Dill Au Revoir” kids. Happy and healthy!
The babies are rolling in now! But this guy has a weird leg, has anybody seen this? We’re going to try some Bo-se but I’ve never see a back leg go that way. We were there when he was born so I know he didn’t get stepped on or anything. I’m hoping just walking around will correct it. Anybody have any suggestions?
Anybody needing a really nice milking stand? What an awesome Christmas present that would be! Contact Michelle Rupley Pippenger
Well, we are not off to great start for the 2023 kidding season. Last weekend we noticed Coral was in heat, we had her confirmed bred by ultrasound and should have been only a month out but she just came in heat so I really have no clue what happened there. We put her back in with Rev but late April babies don’t excite me at all so most likely they will be sold as bottle babies.
Last night I noticed Ruby showing signs of maybe miscarrying and sure enough found 3 dead kids this morning. 2 bucks that would have been beautiful wethers and one that wasn’t as developed. Lacey and Ruby have had it out for each other for awhile now so I’m assuming it was a head butt. I’ve had to separate them in hopes of Lacey not miscarrying as well.
I was able to get some milk from Ruby so hopefully she can still milk for us and I can get a little more in the freezer.
This last month always makes me nervous. 🤞🏻 crossing my fingers that this is it.
Hayley has some rabbits needing to move out. She has a nice black mini satin doe, I suggest she goes as a brood doe as she isn’t the easiest to get a long with but did show well at Whitley county open show. She has a black Netherland dwarf brood doe that just did a great job raising 4 babies. Her 2 black bucks and a chestnut buck are also available as pets. Black bucks have some white hairs and chestnut is going to be to big to show. Does will come with pedigrees. Pm for more Info
We survived! It was a good week but I’m really happy to be home! Thank you to B&J Medical/John Wicker family, Yoder farm services, and Noble county disposal for helping support Noble County 4-h program and kids.
Reserve Grand dairy wether and Grand Oberhalsi. Hayley has done great this week.
Well, we are glad to be home! Weekend didn’t go as good as we had hoped but that’s ok. We had a good time and learned some things.
I’ve been keeping a secret ! A couple months ago we brought this guy home.
He is Wingwood Farm Dill Au Revoir.
He hasn’t done much walking and setting up so we are working on that. We are thrilled to have him here and can’t wait for his 2023 kids. He will be used on most of our does.

Sounds about right 🤦♀️. It has been frustrating! I have a couple really nice does that are probably on their way to the sale barn because nobody wants registered goats anymore or willing to pay a little more for quality.
Well, this sums up my goats pretty good 🤦🏼♀️ perfectly good water tank right next to her but she has to choke herself getting to the water on the other side.
One of the new faces around here and probably the cutest! Hayley picked up an Alpine wether to replace her wether that died. Meet Bruno!

We have 2 mini satins looking for a new home. 12 weeks old. I’m new to this breed but I don’t believe their colors are correct for show. Message for more info
We have never kept a pink nose before no matter how much Hayley begged to but this girl
isnt going anywhere anytime soon! Belle sure left us with some beautiful does. 💕 I am failing at names this year so she is still nameless too. Belle's does were all Disney princess names but I really don't care for any that are left so deciding if I break tradition on her last does or just pick some.
I always share the good and rarely the bad but I knew we would be due for a bad year and here it is. We lost Ella in December, we lost a really nice buck kid in January by getting layed on, we lost Belle a week ago and I just found 1 of Hayley’s 4-h wethers dead this morning(I have no idea what happened). I’m going to spend the day dreading to tell her. Farm life really sucks sometimes.
We finished up our 2022 kidding at 2:30 a.m. with 2 does from Belle and Abe. Out of 9 does we had 18 kids. 10 bucks and 8 does. I’m happy! And tired!!
I think he’s gonna stay here for awhile! He caught my eye right away, I just need a neat name for him.
Any guess what happen to these boys today? 😆 poor guys!
2 bucks a doe for Coral and Zero.
Our heart goat goat for the year. A cute little (soon to be) wether ❤️
I have this beautiful 4 year old doe and she hates to be shown. Absolutely awful in the show ring or just being handled in the yard 😩. She hates her udder being touched other than for milking and doesn’t want her back legs set up. I tell her everyday she is to pretty to be stuck in the barn! She is Jeffer Farms Zuma. Our “Z” line from RW Zena almost always gives me trouble but Zuma is the worst. Zuma’s maternal sister Zecora was reserve champion Nubian milker the at Noble county fair. Zecora must have gotten her Dad’s personality.
Quick update ** All wethers are spoken for** We will have just a couple doelings, our mature buck Zero and the 2 Oberhasli does will be available in the next few months after we get our CAE testing done.
We’re now done kidding until end of February! Zena had 1 big buck and Tilly had 2 bucks. If all goes well we will have a couple wethers available.
I LOVE this thing! This group took to it right away 😀 Makes chore time quicker and easier. Cleaning it is another story.
Zuma had big, strong and LOUD triplets this evening. 2 bucks and 1 doe. Brings our count to 5 each.
Zecora's twins from yesterday.
Buck/doe from Zecora this afternoon. I didn't get pictures yet but they are most definitely Zero's kids. We're up to 7 now, 4 does and 3 bucks. 3 more does and then we have a long break.
Cotton candy x Abe had a single buck
Ruby x Zero had buck/doe twins. Doe will be available at weaning. 3 does kidded today all 3 needed help. I think and hope we are done for today.
Waited all day Sunday and all night on Lacey to kid. Decided this morning I better wake Jeff up and go see what’s going on. We expected the worst and got the best. These 2 beauties were worth the wait! 2 does and our first solid ears 😍 one will be available at weaning how we will ever pick I don’t know. They were so pretty I wanted to attempt a photo shoot….by myself 🤦🏼♀️ didn’t go well.
Medlar Meadows Satin and Lacey x Country Mile Dutch Abraham
Still waiting on babies. Yesterday was the first date I had in my calendar and nobody looks real close. Hopefully they wait for this real cold to get past 🤞🏻 and they don’t all go on the same day!
